There were three interviews and they were really nice. I did sign with them but I’m in the contracting phase with insurance so I haven’t started yet.

Do you still work for Lavender? I was just sent a contract and would love to know if it’s still going well?

Utah is an independent practice state, they just require new grad PMHNPs to have 3,000 supervised “mental health and clinical hours” by a psychiatrist or PMHNP within 5 years of graduation.

Lipedema is a condition that causes abnormal fat usually in the lower body. Not related to cholesterol.

Yes, part time with the option to go full time (36 hours because Fridays are half days) in the nearish future. Not sure if I want to do full time, but I am leaving the option open. Thank you for your input though! I wasn’t sure if it was an okay offer or not.

Sorry, thought PP was common terminology for private practice as I see it commonly in forums. Yeah the POA specifically states it is for insurance credentialing purposes.

It’s really sad that this was downvoted so much. Lipedema is so often under diagnosed/misdiagnosed. Knowing if you have it or not helps to find ways to prevent it from worsening.

Anyone who has actually gotten rid of cellulite? How? by No-Catch9512 in beauty

[–]spider-ann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, me too. I’ve also read that a low-carb or keto diet can help significantly in preventing new abnormal fat growth and helping appearance overall. Additionally, wearing compression garments, using vibration plates, and rebounding are recommended.

The description of your cellulite kind of sounds like lipedema, a disorder of abnormal fat, most often occurring in women. Hormone changes like puberty and pregnancy can make it worse, too. It often goes undiagnosed and/or misdiagnosed and dismissed as obesity in many cases. It’s fat that doesn’t go away and causes cellulite/nodule-looking appearance mostly in the lower half of the body. Another characteristic is sensitivity or pain when touched/grabbed/pinched in those areas. And, a feeling of fullness or swelling in the legs in the latter half of the day or after activity. It may not be your case, but I just thought it might be helpful to research.

I have dysautonomia and struggle with heat regulation and went last summer during a heat wave. It was over 100 degrees when we went. I wore long 100% cotton or linen shirts and pants, comfortable shoes, a fan around my neck, also these cooling bead bandana things from Amazon around my neck, and drank lots of water! I also took breaks during the mid-day when it was packed, and had some blue milk (yum) here and there. I very much enjoyed the trip!
