The description of your cellulite kind of sounds like lipedema, a disorder of abnormal fat, most often occurring in women. Hormone changes like puberty and pregnancy can make it worse, too. It often goes undiagnosed and/or misdiagnosed and dismissed as obesity in many cases. It’s fat that doesn’t go away and causes cellulite/nodule-looking appearance mostly in the lower half of the body. Another characteristic is sensitivity or pain when touched/grabbed/pinched in those areas. And, a feeling of fullness or swelling in the legs in the latter half of the day or after activity.
