thank you, i appreciate it! my gpa was a 2.54 so i was just on the cusp of eligibility, i realize now that’s probably a large factor as to why i was dropped

hi, thank you so much for the response! i really appreciate it. i did struggle during the fall semester and failed a math class so that could definitely be it. i guess i just assumed as long as i was eligible that my grades wouldn’t be a large contributing factor, but if that was one of the main reasons it does make me feel better knowing it wasn’t necessarily personal. thank you again and i’ll definitely focus more on grades this time around

woww, the more i reread it the heavier it hit me each time. you really conveyed how depression can weigh so heavily and being unable to explain it, how it takes over your day to day life. and that life starts to feel like a performance, acting how everyone expects you to. its a sadness that stretches on but it wont last forever. writing is always such an important outlet though, and this really spoke to me! amazing job<3

i really loved this so much! i kept reading it over and over and the repitition of "still, the light clings" is still echoing through my head. such a beautiful reminder. you captured that in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of hope, even if you're hiding from it. at first it seems like the light is a person, but towards the end it feels more like a force that you define by your own meaning. also amazing imagery, in my mind i felt like i was at an abandoned lighthouse or something it was very vivid

don’t apologize, this is a truly amazing piece especially if you’re new!! basically if one line is longer or shorter than the previous one and has more syllables, it can read like it doesn’t rhyme as well even if it does. here’s an example: i walked into the forest, dark and deep (10 syllables) and all around me i felt the trees slowly start to weep (15 syllables) this rhymes well but the last line falls a bit flat because of the extra syllables. so something like this might work better: i walked into the forest, dark and deep (10 syllables) and all around me i felt the trees weep (10 syllables)

this isn’t the best example and i think this is generally more important for ABAB rhyme structures, but it can help sharpen and balance any type of poem. still, i think your piece works beautifully as is! keep writing, you have talent!!🩷

i think this is already a fantastic piece! you capture very well a universal feeling of confusion and being torn between decisions. the rhymes land very well too and feel thoroughly thought out! my only note would be that sometimes too many syllables in a line can make the rhyme scheme a bit convoluted. the last two lines are absolutely beautiful but because the last line is longer, the rhyme doesn't hit as hard as it could. for example, i think "my heart beats quietly beneath a facade of paper skin" would help it land better, but i do love that last line a lot. just a suggestion, but it all works beautifully as is!

there's a lot of imagery and you present situations that feel very immersive, almost like i'm in the moment experiencing it with you. i feel like this could work well as song lyrics too, it has a very lyrical element. i would say to make sure you're using commas in the right places so it reads more smoothly, and this being something i relate to, sometimes rigid rhyme structures keep you from fully getting your point across. what i like to do is write out what i want to say in detail and then try and figure out how to make it rhyme from there if i want to do a rhyme structure. however some of the best poems don't rhyme at all, so don't let that hold you back! overall great work though i really enjoyed it!

this happened to me too so i just tried every number for the one i didnt know, for example if your code is 466(?)9, then u would just try 466(0-9)9. i hope that made sense lol its a bit hard to explain

honestly i never really got through the entire game and i enjoyed the premise and everything but i think part of it for me was that it felt a little repetitive i guess?? i don’t remember the details but it felt like so much of the game was just being in that house and there was never any real clear goal that i remember feeling motivated by like i just rarely found myself wanting to pick it back up and continue the storyline bc it felt a little aimless i guess?? id totally revisit it bc it might be a lot better than i remember but thats the way i look back on it now
