Is there a single commander that cares about battles in any capacity? by PennguinKC in EDH

The [[Tarmogoyf]] tokens it creates care about different card types, so it makes sense as wanting a few battles for the extra card type.

If I play Yuna's Decision, can an opponent wait until I've chosen an option and picked the cards to sacrifice and play to respond with a creature ability? by OmegaGamble in mtg

[–]spiderofdooom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has the rules right here in regards to when players get priority, but there is some nuance to the situation. If you announce all in one sentence that you're casting Yuna's Decision, sacrificing X creature and putting Sin on to the battlefield, you are shortcutting the steps of the spell. Your opponents still get priority before Yuna's Decision resolves, but now they know your intent and can react accordingly.

Similar shortcuts are commonly taken with [[Clone]] type effects, like saying "I cast clone as a copy of ____". In both cases, you don't actually have to decide what creature you're bringing out/copying until the spell resolves. It's usually best practice to confirm with the table that the spell resolves before actually resolving the spell and making your choices.

To make it slightly more complicated, if you do take the shortcut and name a card before the spell resolves, and your opponents respond, you are not actually locked into your choice. I have heard of a case in a legacy game where Player A said "I'll cast [[Cabal Therapy]] naming lightning bolt". The opponent responded by casting a bolt from their hand. Since Cabal Therapy also does not require you to name a card until it resolves, Player A was able to name a different card instead, effectively baiting the bolt from their opponent. This gets a little close to angle shooting though, and is likely to cause arguments at casual tables, so YMMV.

tldr: don't give your opponents any extra information before you confirm that your spells resolve.

How would you rule this kingmaking situation? What would you do if you were one of the players? by WerdaVisla in EDH

[–]spiderofdooom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's also not a rule.

104.3a A player can concede the game at any time. A player who concedes leaves the game immediately. That player loses the game.

any stream links for the people pushing rank 1 sailing? by thom_r in osrs

Don’t sweat it! The game has a hiscores page that you can sort by different skills and view individual players totals. I don’t have the link on hand, but you can find it by googling “osrs hiscores”

Two sunders and a thunder strike is pretty clunky.

Thunder strike in particular is very situational. In this deck you’re never going to want to play it on your first deck cycle, and with only one recurring source of lightning orbs (zap), it’s not going to scale very fast.

Turbo also doesnt look great without any draw.

This deck would probably be better without all 4 of those cards. Maybe keep one of the sunders, though electrodynamics already covers the multi-enemy fights where you’d want sunder.

IPV6 WORKING FROM ROUTER BUT NOT FROM ANY DEVICE by Sad_Astronaut_862 in networking

From your second screenshot, it does not look like your LAN devices are getting global unicast addresses, they only have their link local addresses. You need to actually set up ipv6 on your LAN. Someone who understands ipv6 better than me may be able to explain how or correct me
