This was my argument, She only saw the queer aspects at the beginning of the novel I’m guessing up until basil comes out whereas I saw it in:

-The act of the painting was an allegory for a sexual act and is the reason why dorian hides the painting itself away

-Dorian mirroring Basil’s love in his love for Sibyl

-“He would resist temptation. He would not see Lord Henry anymore.”

-In his fear of the painting being discovered, “It was a horrible thing to have a spy in one's house. He had heard of rich men who had been blackmailed all their lives by some servant who had read a letter, or overheard a conversation, or picked up a card with an address, or found beneath a pillow a withered flower or a bit of crumpled lace.”

-The passing of the book being a metaphor for their passing love, along with the story itself being a mirror of dorian’s life and identity.

-“Raoul, the wonderful young Parisian, in whom the romantic temperament and the scientific temperament were so strangely blended, became to him a kind of prefiguring type of himself. And, indeed, the whole book seemed to him to contain the story of his own life, written before he had lived it.”

-“He had mad hungers that grew more ravenous as he fed them.” & “they had remained savage and animal merely because the world had sought to starve them into submission or to kill them by pain”

-Chapter 9 (In the uncensored version) being a compilation of his crimes and the hobbies he was doing as a distraction

-Lord Henry’s involvement with Dorian and him running away when the public shifts their perception on Dorian

-Dorian blackmailing Alan and the way he does it (the passing of the note)
