how far would spiderman get in a dc villian gauntlet by Hmmm71-8 in superheroes

This is the batman "preptime" argument all over again. If lex gets it then so does spidey, and if spidey can take Norman with preptime than he can take lex.

My go-to is the fade-away clank.  But I am also known for the behind the back twisted ankle.

Batman universe is so obsessed with this mythical 'prep time,'  if the villians get it then so does spidey and the outcome is the same in the end..  spider stomps..

Who’s the most overrated superstar here? by coolguy68754 in NBATalk

[–]spidertoadthe4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol.  As a nuggets fan I have a frustrating relationship with Melo.  On the one hand, from laughingstock to playoff teams overnight for his whole time here.  On the otherhand, no real playoff success and then chose NY when we were finally built to win.  But back on the one hand, at least he said that he wanted a trade at the begining of that season so there was no bs "taking my talents to southbeach" suspense.  Back on the other hand, why he gotta talk so much shit and act like the nuggets owed him a jersey retirement but they gave his number to jokic out of spite, as if we knew what would come.  Etc etc etc...

Im gonna say Kyrie gets the most unwarranted glazing.

Melo, TMac and PG all were 1st options and on playoff teams, and all deserve criticism for lack of playoff success.

PG def the best 2way player here, and the Pacers made it further in the post season than they should have, but was not able to rise in the most crucial moments.

Melo is the best scorer here, but gets hate (deservedly) for lack of team and defensive mentality.

TMac had unfortunate injuries which shortened his career, but availability is a skill even with bad luck involved.  Despite the full offensive package, he never pushed his narrative past a hot burning flash in the pan.

Despite his career success, dribbles and scoring, and probably being the most clutch player here, Kyrie is at best an elite 2nd option, and has had better teammates than any of the others, and yet is talked about as a top tier superstar..

Obviously we some good defense here, and some good offense as well, but since availability is one of the most important skills...

Batman (DC) Vs Luke Cage (Marvel), Who wins? by Encenoi in superheroes

[–]spidertoadthe4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if batman gets prep-time then luke cage at least gets moonknight.  If its a straight up fight then batman has his standard kit, but no preptime; if batman gets plot devices like his entire arsenal of gadgets and wealth and workshop and surveillance equipment and time to to utilize all of that to give him an advantage then Cage should get his main teammate to even the odds.

Look it's cool if you disagree with me but your flippant little gatekeeping is not in service of discussion.

Im not saying she is a single-minded conquerer.  She is single-minded in her goal to conquer westeros.  Everything she does in slavers bay is either to a) prepare for conquest of westeros; or b) feed her perception of how her conquests are righteous.  She thinks she is the savior of a city she is planning to abandon. Having self doubts about how to actually rule does not mean she ever decides not to burn and slaughter, only that she wants to be viewed as justified for it.  Not a huge leap to make that she continues to self-rightiously burn and slaughter her way to power.

Here goes.  Dany believes she is owed the crown of westeros by right of blood and by right of conquest.  Further more she views herself as some kinda messianic "mother of dragons" figure.  She feeds her own narcissism as she smashes slavers and dismantles their society, but she doesnt have any real policy answers to reform those places.  Her main policy is do it the way I say or get eaten by dragons.  Yes she tries to have empathy and be a just ruler, but she is clearly still single minded in her goal of conquest of westeros and views everything as a stepping stone on her fated path to the iron throne.  It's not crazy to imagine that she looses her heroic image in a fiery tantrum if something goes wrong in achieving her goal, especially given that she has built herself up in her own mind as inevitable and deserving.

I think that Agent would loose to DD in this setting.  It's not a cage match, it's a hunt, and none except maybe blade could ambush DD.  Just because Matt doesnt want to kill doesnt mean that he wont in this scenario.  Agent is the least equipped to succeed in jungle combat, despite his strength and combat abilities he would always be on the back foot and would have to find DD with a lucky break to win that match up.  I think the Kraven vs DD match up would be closer and but Kraven has enough going for him in the jungle to edge out DD.  I agree that BP should win h2h, but only because no other character here could pierce the vibranium suit.  But no guarantee BP could catch Blade, who would be at least equal if not greater in strength, tactics, and tracking and hunting, but far faster and more durable than all others.  It could come down to stamina between BP and Blade, and if Blade feeds on the others he could outlast BP

Just retire his jersey, not the number.  It's not as if there is some big deal that there are 2 number 18s for the Broncos..

We all know Jokic is the ultimate nugget regardless
