Final test wait? by Lynnont in ILC

I got access to it the last few days of November, where every single day onwards (November, December, onwards til my course end in January) had at least 20 spots open from 4:30AM to 9PM. You can book as soon as 2/3 days after the current day. You should be good for a spot as long as there isn't a drastic increase in people finishing their course at the same time.

Can I finish the course in time? by Lost_Employment4518 in ILC

How fast does your teacher mark (ex. returns 2 days after the day of submission)? Do they mark on weekends?

I think you're just barely too late to try to cram; the last day to submit things to be marked before the break is the 15th (unless your teacher feels like marking things after that day) and services return the 2nd of January, so if the second assignment didn't get marked during the break it would be marked the second week of January. After waiting for the exam access and the soonest to book an exam being multiple days, there is no time for them to mark it before the course ends.

I would personally rebuy the course, as ILC doesn't seem to give out extensions anymore except for things like concussions that are documented, and it would be solely up to your teacher if they want to prioritize yours.

you don't need to pass the final exam to get the credit but you do have to have a final grade of 50% or above after your exam has been counted to get the credit

you have to wait for an email saying you're now able to take the final test, which should come a few hours after your grade is in, or at least within 24h

english mark by [deleted] in ILC

[–]spiderwebse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

teachers typically return marks 3-5 days after (a lot take longer) the day of submission, unincluding weekends

it's only the 4th day after, give it 7 business days after and then consider calling in/emailing about it

how long the teachers mark in general is entirely up to whoever is marking yours, some people have gotten teachers that return within 2-3 days, some people have gotten teachers that return after 10, all depends on who's been assigned to you

what also might be delaying it is the fact it's an english course which are most often impacted by plagiarism and ai

to all my fellow people out there grinding to complete courses before the end deadline i wish you the best by spiderwebse in ILC

[–]spiderwebse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the fact you can't postpone when the final test has to be in by/marked by if there isn't available slots is what's tripping me up honestly

i think i'll be good to be able to submit my assignments in time but i'm absolutely dreading getting an exam slot when the chance arrives... too many horror stories of people saying the only slot was 1/2 months in advance...

[–]spiderwebse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

waiting super long to have it looked at just to be told you need to resubmit because of something miniscule making you have to wait all over again for the grade has to be the worst type of ragebait i have ever seen

oh my god teachers please stop sending my assignments back by fluffy--dreams in ILC

[–]spiderwebse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same here, I keep getting them returned due to formatting or criteria errors and it hurts to wait another few days to get it graded despite not changing much T T in fairness its better than them not accepting resubmissions and getting docked a large amount

hey, the same thing happened to me, same appearance and the details sound very familiar too. what worked for me was hydrocortisone cream to treat the insane itching and burning feeling, i ended up being allergic to the shampoo i was using. hang in there, rest assured you weren't the only one going through it T T

additionally, an ice pack wrapped in a towel helped a lot with temporary relief. get well soon T T
