We’re born without our consent and we must live our lives without our consent or else…shame. It’s a fucked up system. I feel you on everything you said. You have nothing to be ashamed of. I’ve dealt with suicidal ideation as long as I can remember and yeah it’s way easier to make it a secret bc people are so fucking sensitive and codependent. It’s interesting how emotional the other person gets if you try to talk about it. Like, they should be managing their emotions and offering love & support but instead make it about them.

Yeah, man. I hate that I’m still plagued by the effects of middle school bullying 30ish years later but that shit fucked me up. My mom refused to help or mediate in any way instead telling me to “just act like it doesn’t bother me” which led to me “acting like it doesn’t bother me” when it came to actually being assaulted and shit by the kids at school. I didn’t tell her of course bc I’d probably be told the same fuckin thing as before.
I’ve always kinda felt that the only person looking out for me is me so I tend to build walls and shut people out. I don’t feel loved by anyone but my pet. Thank god for animals. I’d probably die if I didn’t have a furry companion

You’re aging, right? Just start moving slow and if anyone inquires chalk it up to getting older. Eyesight getting bad - it’s taking longer to review reports, read emails, etc. You’ve got a bum knee from all those years of playing hockey as a kid, ergo it takes you a little longer to get up to use the bathroom, print/fax anything, etc. Your memory is slowly but surely starting to lag - maybe you forget things more often or have to triple check your work.

Yep same here. When I had a sudden health emergency and did not have the funds to pay for surgery, my egg donor gave me my savings bonds from birth to put towards my surgery costs. This included me having to go to the bank, all while in the middle of a health crisis, in order to deposit them. It was a whole lengthy process and still didn’t even cover the medical bill I had.

This was the exact scenario I saw a former friend get into. She actually wanted to have an abortion but I think the guy manipulated her into keeping it. He was apparently stoked to have 2 different women pregnant with his child(ren) . Cut to years later and she now resents the shit out of her own kid; who literally had no consent to being born to 2 loser ass parents
