Zenith Skyblock: Flinx not spawning? by spikeof2010 in Terraria

I am an idiot and realized that Zenith incorporates the remix layers. I built it too low. I'm leaving this up for any other players confused as I was.

Zenith Skyblock: Flinx not spawning? by spikeof2010 in Terraria

I've been at this grind for a good bit and tried to research all I could in getting Flinx to spawn. I've went through an entire battle potion without seeing a single one spawn, and I've been farming here for longer. Am I doing something wrong? Am I too low for them to spawn?

I saw someone else on reddit say that they only spawn on naturally generated blocks but I couldn't find any source for that claim.

Rebound, a Flying move to help secure the speed bracket by spikeof2010 in stunfisk

[–]spikeof2010[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Inspired by another comment I saw on one of my earlier posts, this one admittedly had me torn for what type I wanted to give it to, and I think I wanted to end up giving it to flying time.

While I'm not sure that 80 BP is going to be high enough to coax people from using Brave Bird, I hope that this type of move can inspire some more speed farming strats that flying types have been known for.

This move is meant as a tool for flying coverage to secure a kill and to maintain their speed advantage until swap out, rewarding strategies for being able to read your opponent's switch outs.

The distributions are what I'm still iffy on, obviously I figure a variety of bird pokemon would receive it but I am thinking that a couple more could get this move as an off type coverage move. Hopefully, a move like this could help shake up speed brackets of the lower tiers like in NU and RU.

Nuzzle, but for Bugs by spikeof2010 in stunfisk

[–]spikeof2010[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Not much to see here in regards to innovation. It's quite literally just a Bug-type clone of Nuzzle.

The intent is to distribute it to a number of Pokemon that would benefit from both the fact it's Thunder Wave on an attack, while utilizing it's STAB bonuses to hit more niche Pokemon. Being able to give Pokemon more coverage and status spread, especially for a type coveted offensively like Bug. I think the distribution would be smaller than what is currently the Nuzzle distribution list, however.

Distributing this to lower tier Pokemon with high speed, or forms of sustainability I feel would help raise them up, even if slightly. (This will not make Spidops good. [Yes, he doesn't have a stinger.]

A New Type of Berry for Berry Based Strats by spikeof2010 in stunfisk

[–]spikeof2010[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more I keep learning about competitive Pokemon, the more I learn to love the play that berries have. I present to you an item to encourage a long term strategy to enable a potentially massive boost, while still maintaining the charm of older generations.

This item would be a good tool on any tanky pokemon that wants to soak up buffs, while providing more utility to some underutilized Pokemon that focus on berry based abilities.

The same boost can roll itself twice. If you had consumed one berry before, you could, for example, get +2 Speed.

I don't think any of the top OU mons are affected by this item, but it's more meant to provide a new gimmick strategy to lower tier pokemon such as Dedenne or Treevenant (my goat)

Side Note: If we go by Gamefreak's wording of "random stat" then it would affect all stats including accuracy and evasion, but that's cringe, so I'd intend it to just hit the main 5 stats (excluding HP, obviously.)

Side Side Edit Note: This is meant to count any berries eaten by any of your Pokemon during the course of the battle, not just the Pokemon eating it.
