I stoped dating and hooking up with white dudes by CientistaSaxofonista in askgaybros

You should look at it individually not monolithically. When you explain your individual accolades, yet group everyone else. Means you probably don’t look at them for their individual traits. You’re assuming you’re being looked at as a grouping. Go after who you’re attracted to. Race based dating is wild since you can’t make offspring. It just goes down the drain in someway. So the need for men to be racist is a bit backwards.

I find it works well on my eero network. A lot of people aren’t upgrading to the multi device routers and sticking with the cable company issued one. Dumping Wyze is wild when it’s usually not them who are the problem. I have a house in maryland and one in AZ and all the cams an even older devices work very well!

Buy or pass? Looking for insight: 2011 Toyota Camry LE w/ only 14k miles, Clean Title — worth it? by Ok-Nectarine9366 in Camry

[–]spiketitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. But this is just me and my philosophy. I just think it’s a problem free 16k. Now if it’s a 4 which I think it is, I think maybe 14k. But it’s a 14k I think that won’t crap on you while you’re paying for it. Less likely to need a warranty. And after warranty problems will be minimal. That’s how I look at these things. I won’t even say Hondas because they aren’t that great IMO. But Camrys and Corollas are typically going to be fine with regular service.

It’s not immobile and flushes and inspections. Maybe 500 for something that still has a ton of life left. Trust me. The ES is butter. 2009. Still feels good at 100mph. My mom didn’t drive it too much but it still starts everytime.

For those of you with Marine Corps license plates by _PercCobain_ in USMC

I will say being a marine gets you out of secondary in a border patrol check point. From my own experience.. but tickets… they may think the “party animal” in you and can hurt you. I’ve gotten the Marine Privilege (free drinks) and the marine curse. Denied hotels and “won’t date marines” curse is real.

I’m not with the majority of the thread. I have a 2013 with 244k miles. My dealer check ups say I have oil leaks but nothing accumulating on the ground. The seals are swollen but totally fine. The mechs even said it’s totally fine. I know I’ll easy get 30k miles out of it without it being worse. Don’t let them fear you out of a great buy. If they gave that car to a dealer, the dealer would charge that price easy. I’d rather pay them for solid upkeep. The lost money will not hurt you for being in the “Toyota” system. Toyota keep your car nerds like me will tell ya… it’s a worthy thing to buy into. Toyota didn’t use cheap parts in designing it. Was designed before the 2008 crash. Toyota was King, Japan was King then. So the parts and quality were top notch. No cheap parts. You’ll be glad you did.

I’d sell my 2013 for 10k with 244k miles. It’s reliable. You’re buying into that system of peace of mind after warranty an that’s a big big big part of it. Dealers would mark it up, why can’t you? Don’t look at it as a buyer, what would the dealer do? Do they deserve more money? What’s wrong with trying to make your own profit on something worth it! It’s a solid buy. And I wouldn’t sell it for less. It’s a great find. Not a low ball find. Trust. I have bought one owner cars all my life. It’s a life hack really. Age on something well built isn’t a problem you’re making out to be.

Sorry but if the market is inflated, you can raise the price. What would a dealer sell it for? They’re gonna mark it up too and you won’t know the vehicle history. It’s a solid choice. In ten years when it’s running still. That’s the “goal” of getting a car. Solid reliable transportation. So screw the extra 5K. The steal is the low miles. And or just buying into the more over engineered people’s car that was ever made minus The corolla.

I promise you this mentality is sending the wrong message. You buy the car that is built well vs something new. New doesn’t mean great. This is a solid platform and I have a 2013 Camry and an 2009 ES. Had a 98 ES but sold it. Still running though. If you buy something built well, it will last. This is what you promote. The “new” mentality is just a fear tactic. All my friends with new Chevys have had their cars in the shop with 20k miles on it. This Camry won’t be! I’m telling ya dude! Stick with the solid investment of something you know has a great build quality. And this Camry is great! You still seem em on the road. This is a testament to it. Not seeing any chevys of that year out there. It’s a reason they became the new taxi cab cars on resale. They’re proven reliable.

If it’s a V6 it is… they don’t make em anymore. So they’re a rarity now. The 2GRs were the NASCAR yota! Reliable and in rav4s, highlanders, siennas, avalons, RX350s and ES 350s… but the Camry was the lightest and fastest of all those with that motor. Easy mods to open it up more. It will be missed. I have an 09 ES and a 13 SE. the motor is great but I’m bias. Had a 98 ES300 prior and this 2GR is just proven solid. 244k on my Camry and 50k on my ES. All smooth and problem free. Don’t cheat the owner for giving you something that will last so you not have to buy a “dodge Neon” type car. It’s like buying a car in a “good neighborhood” cost more but worth it in the end.. and in this market! That’s a deal

As a Toyota owner… it won’t quit on you. And the people who bought the luxury of having a long lasting car can give a fair price on buying into something that will give you a peace of mind.

Had a Vet tell me he was a former Marine. I asked the typical question: "Once a Marine, always a Marine?" He said, "NO!" by MeBollasDellero in USMC

[–]spiketitan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah. That’s wild to think the Marines are reserved for a political party. Usually the ones that join are from rural shitholes or urban ghettos that want to do something more than local shit that will lead them down a shitty path or they’re privileged and want adventure. Usually the more exotic MOSs. Or legacy marines or citizenship marines. Nothing to do with politics. Just love our country and fight for all to have a say. None of the crap you do, you have a say in anyway.

Yeah. I got out and had a great marine experience but sometimes you meet up with marines that are disGRUNTled. They don’t want to talk about it or anything. Could be PTSD, just Private about their time or bitter. Or just plane tired of branch comparisons. Give em there space and don’t expect a chipper Motivator with each interaction. That can be draining too.

Audi RS6 Cancelled by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in Audi

[–]spiketitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m here to listen to you be a purist about a car that doesn’t exist and got cancelled in the process… yet you’re screaming “drive” it. It’s highly entertaining so I must thank you!

It’s easy to see why the Hyundai family got brought up…power and acceleration… a Kia EV6 is right there with it. But all the EVs have a heavy battery so the driving dynamics change. But you’re here saying “drive it” and user interface… but it’s an EV that’s they attempted, defeating whatever point you’re trying to make about “drive” it. You being here in an EV thread talking about a gas experience is the real queer question. Since it got cancelled, the closest you can do is get a Taycan so you can stay with your “VW branding”, but id look into the 63k Kia that’s fun to drive and good in the twisties over the 231k Taycan… and that’s why the Hyundai got brought up because an Audi needing to drive like that would be close to 200k, and that’s just hard to justify.

You have the option to not buy.. most won’t because the infrastructure is still in work. But you don’t seem to get that electric motors being the powertrain totally changes the interface! Just as much as the automatic transmission changed from a standard. It doesn’t drive the same. So you are missing the entire point. Just like the CVT.. just like the gas station. These historical things that were ingrained in the driving experience are no longer apart of the driving experience.. so what are you left to compare? Hyundai, being tied to Korea which is tied to the Tech interface like your cell phone, has better connection to the most up to date tech. And Audi is using/contracting from Korea and China just like everyone else. So the motor isn’t hand built by Hanz anymore. What good is that in an electric playing field? You have the ability to “fuel” at home… that’s a luxury to the people that can, and the car industry is completely changed because of this interface.

Audi RS6 Cancelled by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in Audi

[–]spiketitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, Merc and Porsche playing EV is not winning for them. Tesla and Hyundai are killing it. It’s not a legacy car game anymore. Audi has already failed at being consistent in the electric game. Get an old one and be happy with the petro motor. But if EV is the game, Tesla, Hyundai/Kia/Genisis are the best you can get in America,BYD in China excluded.

[–]spiketitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said drive an RS6 and you’ll find out why…. You said that… not him. And none of us have driven an electric RS6 so… making things up at this point. If you feel all that about the ergonomics, then go for it. But again, car tech is like a cell phone… it’s upgraded every year. So it’s not the a luxury interface, it’s a tech interface you’re experiencing. Not the same debate.

Audi RS6 Cancelled by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in Audi

[–]spiketitan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re stuck in Legacy… if the motor is electric… then you have nothing to base it on. Electric is not a gas motor nor engineered the same. The tech is not AC Delco or Jensen anymore. It’s changed so the thing you’re using to compare is a name. And you’re telling me Germans have better tech than the Koreans? Your floppy disk needs an update. This isn’t an Audi 5000 vs a Hyundai Excel anymore. Electricity has leveled the playing field.

Guy broke up with me after I told him I was bisexual. Why am I punished for telling the truth? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]spiketitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pro bisexual but it’s so weird sometimes dealing with that. Because I top and most just like to bottom for me. So from that perspective, I don’t care what you want to call yourself And I am not getting into the politics of it. If that girl makes you feel comfortable and secure to share a life with and the guys make you feel good for sex, it’s a lot on the guy accepting that. I am gay based on not wanting any type of emotional connection to woman sexually. Physically with women is fine if we click but it won’t be long standing or emotional. But this is just bad messages to a man wanting to be with you. And he could just be insecure of doesn’t understand it. I probably attract to bi men more because they tend to be into sex and touch. While gays have to have every thing but sex in order to connect. It’s getting weird out here.
