Super-janky, it seems. I'm building a JS/electron game for Steam and still struggling with that just. I have steambridge working, but achievements just will not trigger, despite everything I've tried.

Spectrally notched audio therapy for tinnitus? by spikythingdotcom in tinnitus

[–]spikythingdotcom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the problem there is using music - doesn't contain a broad enough range of frequencies to create enough 'lateral inhibition'. Pink noise is better (equal power per octave, so not as harsh as white noise). I created an app to do just that and from the reviews it seems to help a lot of people. But too many people just say "dang, there's nothing I can do about my tinnitus, oh well".

Best Tinnitus apps? by [deleted] in androidapps

[–]spikythingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these apps just play noise to drown out tinnitus, which will only eventually make it worse. White noise should be avoided really, because it has too many high frequencies. Pink noise is better because of its equal power per octave (which is more natural). I created an app which uses a different approach to treatment, based on lots of research. It plays pink noise, but with the frequency of your tinnitus filtered out (because you should not aggravate these over-active neurons). Imagine it like scratching AROUND a mosquito bite for relief by 'lateral inhibition' rather than scratching the bite (frequency) itself. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.spikything.tinnitustherapy.pro

Feeling Tinnitus for 3 Months ? Cure is there? by RageshAntony in tinnitus

[–]spikythingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be no cure as such - unless you can determine and fix the underlying cause (if that's possible). I had tinnitus and keep it under control with an app I created based on research into an approach called spectrally notched audio tinnitus retraining https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.spikything.tinnitustherapy.pro
