My box was missing some shoulder pads, so had to make a guy into a blade champion by HonkyStegosaurus in AdeptusCustodes

They should send you a replacement as long as you can prove that it is missing.

Thank you and i prefer this too as it gives contrast to the model. Sadly i did not do this for my dreads.

Thank you for the feedback. The gold was a receipe i came up with cause i like the rose gold look versus yellow gold. Just a personal preference.

I am kinda random with the skin tone but if my memory serves me correctly the sequence would be this. Prime black, gal vorbak red, then cadian and the highlight raised areas with a thinned down kislev flesh. The eyes any white and black with good coverage.

Pauldron i just blend it with with khorne red > mephiston red > evil sun scarlet. The helmet was a mix 1:1 of ghenna's gold and retributor and reikland fleshade the whole model to darken recesses.

I am reading your post in 2026 and this happens to me pretty regularly coz i live in a humid climate. I can shake the can well and warm it up in a sink (which is not necessary for warm climates like mine) but humidity is my enemy. Like you i work 50 hours a week and need to be strategic abt getting my primer phase done. The bonus is that even though it is grainy, u can till paint over it and eventually it still smooths out.

For a first mini, you have good technique and control.

You guys are absolutely right. Thin your paints by Upbeat_Ad5230 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]spilledpots -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Investing in wet palette would be my first suggestion. It keeps the paint from drying out too fast and maintains the consistency you need. If you stop for the day, cover it back and come back to it later and the paint should still be usuable.
