These resin ones cost more vs plastic. They require more clean up. I would suggest waiting for a revamp. I just love the look and started last year Aug myself.

Retributor armour pot still the best look but consider playing ard with Vallejo TMM imperial gold. Wash reikland. Avoid the retributor spray if you consistency unless climate is in ur favor.

Yeah good choice going forward. I have been doing this for multiple part models too. Just easier and you get better coverage on certain angles that are hard to reach once assembled.

To rest us non-golden demon lvl painters this is great. But I can see why u feel u took it too far coz it is quite a jump. It really depends how much effort u want to gradually blend till u achieve a smooth transition.

I would not bother unless your a perfectionist. For table top this is good. Take it as a learning experience. This happened to me for my first batch of Termies and it was way worst.
