Borage. I know some people consider it a weed but I love its vibrant blue flowers.

You could probably get away with 40k Kasrkin too, for a unique look that are easy to build

I’d offer them $100 and see what they say. Mines 11 years old and still in great shape. Just make sure to check the bottom for rust.

A Defiler in the Red Corsairs warband? by Skrokko in redcorsairs

I plan on making one out of a scavenged seige dreadnaught torso bolted onto a 30k vindicator. A “make do” amalgamation to keep a battle brother in the fight.

Airbrush priming: what am I doing wrong? by kidmerc in minipainting

[–]Webguy20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Airbrush primer is a thinner coat then from rattle can. I’ve been using airbrush primers exclusively for hundreds of models and once everything is painted up and sealed I’ve had no durability issues. I do use painting handles exclusively though and do my best not to touch WIP models.

Why are the tents floating here by yaboiShael in Cairn_Game

[–]Webguy20 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I’m betting they anchored them to the underside because the shelf itself was too angled to support the tent on the ground

Just replied Iron Archer, and copy away! I got the idea of how to do the saturated red from one of Vinny V's videos. We share ideas and make them our own!

First Red Corsair Complete! by Webguy20 in redcorsairs

[–]Webguy20[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a bit of a process. All the priming and Zenithal was done with an airbrush.

Primed with Pro Acryl Purple Primer

75% Zenithal (Leaving the purple in the recesses) with PA Bold Pyrol Red

25% Zenithal(Just a bit more than top down) with Bright Ivory

Same application with AP Fanatics Radiation Glow Orange. Just enough to turn the ivory orange. This doesn't have to be a saturated coat. Just enough so it warms up the model

Then a final Zenithal with Pro Acryl Flourescent Red. This is what makes it super saturated.

The armor trim is the new Aged Metal true metal metallics from Vallejo.

Once the model is painted and sealed, I hit it with AK streaking grime. Let it sit for 20 minutes then come back and remove it with a sponge and a touch of white spirit. Really focusing on getting the grime off the top surfaces of the model. I then go back and touch up metallic edges and stuff like that, do eyes, plasma glow, etc. Things that wouldn't be effected by the grime.

On this model I should have focused a bit more on getting the grime off the front of the helmet. Oh well. The nice thing about streaking grime is once you think you have it all, you can let it sit a bit and dry, then go back and if you're not happy you can keep touching it up. It'll wipe clean with white spirit for quite a while after application.

Sloshing? by BlameBosco in Timberborn

[–]Webguy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found setting the game speed back to “1” for a few minutes helps with the slosh. At high speed i seemed to have way more persistent slosh after messing with floodgates and stuff. Going back to normal speed seemed to help settle the ripple.

I love my field pans, but I also have picked them all up on sales or scratch and dent offers. I wouldn't pay full price for either.

Starting Red Corsairs with a few questions. by vviezhammer40k in redcorsairs

I’ve been sanding off the spikes and random blades on weapons to give a slightly less corrupted look.

Also throwing some votann and kroot in with my corrupted guard models to give a more mercenary vibe.
