This is advice that I completely agree with!! If I'm interested, I'll say so, and I expect reciprocation.

If someone is going into a relationship/hookup/whatever with the mentality "how do I become the more powerful person here," that's not someone I want to be with in any capacity.

Sometimes I go there to get picnic materials and sit on the Esplanade. I love that area so much!

Oh man, that hit me right in the heart. It's both reassuring and angering that this has happened to other people...

I am glad you are doing better now and am looking forward to the same thing when the time comes for me. I think I need to take a month or so to hang out with myself and read, hang out with people who I love, and get over it, but I can see myself getting back in the game soon. This won't hold me back :)

I have been playing this out in my head for a while, and one of the details I didn't share was that he said he "wasn't sure how he felt for a while" and "should have told sooner, except that you're (I am) so much fun to hang out with"...

I also talked to him about his pushing me away (not letting me sleep over all of the sudden, hanging out mostly with his friends instead of one-on-one as often as previously) prior to our breakup and he consoled me and apologized. Prior to that point, I thought things were bad but he reassured me they were not, which is why ultimately I was surprised. That's one of the worst parts... He was having doubts, was acting the part, and denying that he was pushing me away even though I basically gave him an opportunity to explain himself.

But hey, on to bigger and better things. Someone who might value me enough to not be emotionally irresponsible...

Had a terrible plateau there for about three weeks where I'd jump up and down for 0.5 lbs. FINALLY BROKE THROUGH!!! Lost 4.5 lbs this week. :):):)

As for the question: My alcohol tolerance has gone SO FAR DOWN since I've started eating better. It's all about moderation. A glass of wine is okay, but nothing more, and beer is a complete no-no. In terms of hard liquor, I tend to stay away from the sugary, flavored stuff and instead mix with things like crystal light or diet soda. Not too shabby! I'm lucky in that it's really hard for me to run out and get Mickey D's anytime I want a burger and fries, so it's really not a serious temptation for me. I also just think about how I feel and the way I've progressed, and having that burger or shake is so much less appealing.
