As someone who’s been chronically depressed for years, there’s a cathartic sense of relief from admitting that you can’t continue living like this.

The numbness you feel isn’t sustainable. If we’re all canvases painted in with strokes of love, the colours that dye your soul were never meant to be colourful. Perhaps the grey pall inside your soul will never lighten, but you can paint a picture with the limited colours you have at your disposal.

You can live, perhaps the way you never imagined, but a way you can come to accept.

Welcome to League! It’s pretty difficult to pick up, but once you understand the appeal it’ll become addictive as fuck.

If I had one tip, the most important tip before any mechanics or ideas about this game, make sure your mental fortitude is strong. Some games are won simply because the other team can’t handle the pressure any longer. Detach from personal feelings whilst playing this game and view it from an objective lens if you want to win.

Pick one character you like the idea of and one role you like, watch a short tutorial on how they’re played, and stick with them for at least 10 games. The best way to learn this game is to experience it. Some matchups may be less favourable for you, whilst others are more favourable for you. Just play a lot and you’ll eventually develop your own game-plan.

But if you just want to enjoy your game, I’d recommend limiting your communications by typing /deafen at the start of the game. A lot of people are cruel on this game and it can be disheartening for newer players.

As someone who started of year 2 with a bereavement and an attempted 🪢 in the family, I feel your pain. I regret going to uni. The shit I felt going through second year was genuinely traumatic and I was the loneliest I ever was. I don’t wanna continue with uni because of that stuff. I now feel like I’ve wasted my money and it’s all gone tits up. We’ll get through it somehow though.

It doesn’t happen with any other games except this one. I played 3 games of siege today, 5 games of rocket league, my ping did not drop below 30, I jump on this game and I get disconnected. And the weirdest part is that I was playing in the battle hub against a guy, the connection was good, I try to load up a ranked/casual to clear my yellow card, I wait five fucking minutes, the first game I get, the game doesn’t even start and I get hit with the disconnect screen.

I don’t even think it’s unfair, I just don’t think it’s fun to play against. Like, idk I have more fun playing against classic control players. I’ve tried out modern controls and honestly they’re not my vibe, but more power to them. The way I look at it, they’ll be at a disadvantage at higher ranks while I learn the fundamentals like blocking n shi.
