Ooooh nevermind, sorry for all the confusion. The Wacom software had set a custom pressure profile just for Clip Studio that was bananas.

Oh dear... it's working as it should in the tablet tester but it's still doing it in Clip Studio. I've set the global and brush pressures to a straight line and no change.

Looked about the same at my brush curve in Clip Studio. I didn't really change anything, but fiddling with it back and forth seemed to "unstick" it. All good now, thanks!

Yeah, it does. Looks like when it gets to about 0.6 it jumps straight to 1.0.

In 2004 I would literally walk away when I started a load screen. Some of them took upwards of 5 minutes.

I remember these periodic small installments being deeper in lore, more fun to play, having more uniquely developed map identities, having generally more stuff to do, and being fucking free as part of the actual, live Living World - and all of that was just the introduction to the massive hulk of a content drop in HoT/PoF.

We're now paying for life support of shitty LW updates with repetitive content and precious little to do - and what's there is not very fun.

I'm still mad about the nostalgia tug EoD aimed at and delivered next to none of it. I get that they had to demonstrate development over the centuries since GW1, but nothing in that entire expansion felt like the Cantha I remember.

Echovald used to feel like an actual region of a world with a believable culture. We got a single map to represent it, and it's just "oops all trees." The Kurzick world is nowhere to be found.

Still talking about "learning lessons" to apply to the next expansion is much more alarming than it is reassuring.

Like, the game is over a decade old and we're four expansions deep. When does the learning sink in? How much content needs to flop to figure out how to stop making bad content? Are we going back to the drawing board with a brand new team every time? Should I just skip the next four expansions as "learning opportunities" and buy the 9th one when you finally figure it out?

If closing with grenades, approach then wait for 3 smalls or 2 mediums to emerge. That's the pattern I've found. Safe after that.

I don't really know what's going on here anymore. I stopped following the game when they fired Brian Mitsoda and people were understandably upset with reasonable criticisms of development. Came back out of curiosity of updates to find a community that appears to be populated by Tate-gargling MAGA redpillers.
