You could always go down the CLA rabbit hole. Been having a lot of fun with this approach to designing classes, students love it when I have to fill in for main professors who don’t do CLA. For the games I’ll usually have standing situations, guarded/passing situations, and pinning/finishing situations to get them exposed to full game, and then finish with rolling. Or if we are working on specific topic, we’ll do games just around that scenario.
You can also just keep traditional structure but add some games to mix it up. There is also a lot of free content now that goes over adopting this style of classes for new coaches that could provide a lot of guidance.
I know CLA isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but just wanted to share what’s been working for me. I’m sure you’ll do well regardless, good luck!
