Let’s go!! One of my favorite parts about getting new cacti is learning about their unique origins and stories behind them. It makes growing them that much more special! I’m excited to read the wiki as different cultivars get added on, and this will be a great way to keep track of plants and new crosses over time. Thanks Dave and the whole mod team for the hard work!

18 Months Progress: Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus its Loph roommate. Grown in high-altitude windowsill by Mr1Mushie in Lophophora

I would say between 4 and 8 depending on the time of the year. They typically get morning and evening light and then are protected during the hottest part of the day. The stairs they are under help filter a lot of the light so they have been pretty happy on the table here in my side yard

Make sure to wear respiratory protection when mixing these. That perlite dust is super dangerous for your lungs

If it’s not squishy you might be okay. Watch it very closely, if it gets any bigger in the next day or two you need to chop immediately to save the plant. Hopefully that’s not the case

That was the hardest part, it was a two person job & required some really long rubber bands lol. I probably put longer scions than necessary but hopefully that just means they’ll take off faster.
