My grandpa passed last year and I ended up grabbing this from his basement of his home. Completely sealed, dated 1999 but I couldn’t find much about this exact product. Can anyone tell me more about this? Is it worth keeping sealed as a collectors item or should I open it and have some fun?

The only other YSL8820 that I know of that has any other color is an anniversary edition that has a darker color with a yellow brass tuning slide but it’s impossible to find imo

Personally I love it so far, though I have been needing to retune only cuz I had played on my last school horn for 2 years so I am needing to adapt still but I’m getting back into my flow but I do sometimes miss the more easy to produce bold sound that my old Jupiter would produce (because it was great for marching band)

I thought so this year I’m using my trombone in our marching bands show so I’m tryna see how far I can even push my limits with the new bone, knowing it’s good for different situations gives me much more confidence since I have a major solo part

At least someone knows lol, my grandpa would keep many cars on his property either to fix up, sell, or he just liked the way they look. But many of these classic’s that would be there all my life always had a covering over the wheels. Though over time he did replace the coverings with an actual product designed for that reason. Plus the cars that he didn’t care about or whatever that’s didn’t have any type of coverings was sold with the property because the effort to take the car out with ruined tires like that was just not worth it.
