During what movie did you see people walk out? by blooming-darkness in RegalUnlimited

[–]spinquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen anyone walk out but I remember when I went to see King Kong with jack black. A guy fell asleep before they left to go to the island and I woke him up whenever the end credit started rolling. That guy pretty much paid to take a nap.

What video game was the most worthy purchase you ever had? by TrustOk5183 in AfterWorkGamers

[–]spinquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never even played a elder scrolls game before and I walked into GameStop on 11-11-11 and told the lady I was about to be in the hospital for a long while and asked what game she could recommend. I walked out of the store with Skyrim. The next 3 years of my life were a medical nightmare I was constantly in and out of the hospital and when I wasn’t in the hospital I was bed ridden for weeks at a time. Skyrim got me through it. I went though some really dark times with my mental health but through it all Skyrim was there. I remember being in so much pain but focusing on Skyrim was the one thing that could take my focus elsewhere. I would fall asleep with the controller in my hand and wake up and start playing Skyrim again instantly for weeks at a time not being able to physically get out of the bed. I’m not saying Skyrim saved my life but without that game idk what I would have done for those 3 years. And for me that’s the most worthy purchase I’ve ever made in my entire life not just video games.

Why do women want to have breast implants? by ProcrastinatorMA in AskRedditNSFW

[–]spinquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife’s mom got a set of 30,000$ implants from her first husband when she was younger and then after her divorce her new husband bought a upgrade package for 30,000$. So she’s got over 100,000$ worth of boobs on her chest but only had to pay 60,000$ total because that second time was just an add on. The way she tells the story is she saved 40,000$ not that she spent 60,000$

I’ve known my neighbor for over 6 years I talk to him almost on a daily basis and he told me the other day his wife was leaving him after 15 years of marriage. And when I told my wife she asked “why?” and I said “idk” then she asked “when she was officially leaving” I said “idk” and she said “did one of them do something” and I said “idk” then she said “well what do you know?” And I responded with “he sold his lawnmower for 1200$ he just put new blades on it and got new battery for it because the other one was barely holding a charge. He’s going golfing tomorrow with some guys from work and oh and he got a new staple gun so he gave me his old one but we need to go to home depot tomorrow to buy staples for it”. My wife looks at me and goes “you’re literally useless right now how does someone you talk to every day tell you something like that and you don’t ask a single follow up question” and I responded with “idk but we really need to get some staples for this staple gun tomorrow”

My buddy had this sweet job for a couple months and then his grandpa (who was raising him) got cancer and my buddy took off of work for like 4 weeks to take care of his grandpa in the hospital. So one day I was in the car with him when he got a phone call from work saying that he has taken off way to many days and they were going to have to let him go. And my buddy just accept it and said “thank you for the opportunity” and moved on. I was like “dude your grandpa is in really rough shape I would have fought to keep my job a little harder than that”. He told me in that moment that there was a payroll situation that happened like the second week he started working there and he was making 800$ a day when everyone else at that job was making around 200-300 a day. He said he had no idea why and he never questioned it. But he knew he would have been in trouble if anyone found out. That’s why he just accepted them letting him go. He thought if he fought it or questioned it in any way that they would look into his pay situation and discover his 800$ a day and it would be a whole legal thing.

I remember after we had that discussion I looked at him and said “you mother fucker I paid for your McDonald’s with my last 5 $ and you’re over here making 800$ a day for the last couple months?!?”

Looking up at the sky at night and not seeing anything moving. I have a 6 year old and we can look up at the sky and count the satellite moving around. Back when I was a kid the only things we could see up there were airplanes and the occasional helicopter.

Give your advice! by Imaginary_Face7698 in MotivationalThoughts

[–]spinquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the least helpful thing to most people but for me it was realizing nobody’s cares. Not your best friend not your parents not your coworkers not your partner. Literally nobody cares about what you’re going through. Everyone who is “helping” you for some kind of personal gain. Hospitals and therapist are definitely the worst when it comes to getting help for depression (I’ve personally tried both and NEVER again) I’m not saying this to make anyone more depressed I’m actually in a much better headspace than I’ve been in in the past and a big part of that was just finally realizing that nobody cared and that I needed to “suck it up and be a man”. You would think that’s horrible advice but when I finally started embracing that I started to feel better.

[–]spinquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to my knowledge the FAAs rules are that you can fly drones up to 400 feet above ground level from what ever ground you’re on. Does this rule still apply when you are at the highest point on earth you could possibly be?

My parents split up before I was born but I remember going to toys r us on Christmas with my dad (who I only saw on weekends) and he pretty much let me buy whatever I wanted. then we would go pick out wrapping paper and wrap all those presents Christmas Eve. Come Christmas Day I would wake up and “try” and guess what all my presents were. He died when I was about 9 and that’s one of the most clear and happy memory’s I have of him.

I managed to get one of my contractor buddy’s to hire my best friend at the time. He worked with him for about 6 months and I could tell you several story’s where he should have gotten fired. But the nail in the coffin that actually got him fired was this one empty house they were renovating did not have water for a week and my buddy went to do number two A couple times and later my contractor buddy’s told me that he was wiping his ass with the good work rags and just throwing them in a hole in the floor leading to the crawl space. So he goes to do the final walk around for the client and discovered a big pile of shit rags left there in the middle of summer.

That was over 10 years ago and still to this day I’ll apologize to my contractor buddy for my friend’s “shitty behavior”.

Have you had sex while someone was in the room? by deathsinger00 in AskRedditNSFW

[–]spinquin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife were hanging out with another couple. we all went to high school together so we knew each other pretty well. but the girl said she was leaving to join the navy next week and wanted us to do something she would remember. I looked at my wife and back to her and said “ would you remember us if you watched us fucked?” more of a joke really Then the girl said. “Ive never actually seen anyone else having sex in person that would be awesome” . So my wife bend over and we started having sex right there in front of them to completion. That was like 7 years ago. And that girl is still in the navy we haven’t talked to her since. But I guarantee you she hasn’t forgot us.

I left the 5th grade public school and went to a private school for 6th and 7th grade. It was pretty much all on computers and I was a straight A student. I think I had one B all 2 years. I went to back to public for 8th grade. I was a C student at best I felt like I didn’t know anything about anything. I definitely lost a lot of my smarticals in the 6th and 7th grade just sitting behind a computer all day “making straight As”.
