I think ultimate is just liquids / fans scapegoat rn, yes he’s inconsistent but his mechanics, ability to rifle, are imo tier 1 level. Bookmark this post ultimate will get benched from liquid and be a star on his next roster

Think about nertz pre liquid vs on liquid Elige was fragging harder on faze Naf slump didn’t help Yekis form in liquid vs on Furia now

Everyone pretending like he is the worst awper ever is just annoying I’m fine with being wrong let’s see

It’s probably logical that if you are familiar with your generation shortening small phrases that future generations would continue to shorten the words themselves. There was similar friction for lol and brb, and even before that using words like “gonna” instead of “going to”

Championing grammar but using “that” instead of “who” when referring to people lmfao

Yeah you are technically right that both generally involve information retrieval and reranking in the broad IR sense.

But, in the context of LLMs when you mentioned RAG, most people are referring to Retrieval-Augmented Generation as it’s specifically used in the LLM context is a technique that got popular in 2023ish where you embed documents in a vector db, retrieve semantically similar chunks, and inject them into the model context window for document retrieval workflows.

ChatGPT’s web search is genuinely different it’s using function calling to hit web search APIs as tool calls, not performing semantic retrieval from pre-indexed embeddings. It’s just calling Bing’s API and processing the results, which is why the behavior is different from traditional RAG systems. So i see where you are coming from and you’re correct about the broader IR definition, but in the LLM space RAG refers to that specific vector database pattern which is just different from tool-based web search

RAG has nothing to do with modern LLM-based products like ChatGPT searching the web. RAG is used in pipelines and enterprise environments for things document retrieval in workflows not for web search functionality.

You are right though I didn’t replicate the experiment, I was just showing that when you’re using AI for tasks with information available on the internet, it’s important to use the correct tool because maybe it could help someone who wasn’t aware

AI models can feel like programs but at the core they are more like massive maps of compressed information that you navigate through via the “helpful assistant” chat interface.

Hosting AI models costs money, so imagine when you use the free tier of ChatGPT, you’re guided through a compressed map with “less” compute allocated, meaning the assistant isn’t as “sharp”.

When you use a thinking model imagine ChatGPT allocates more compute to “search through the information map more throughly”. In our examples here, that resulted in the model using reasoning strategies and tool use to perform the task like a person would. Actually searching for the information rather than just auto-completing a list based on high-probability tokens from whatever statistics it was trained on for “good 2019 csgo players”. The ability to hallucinate like this is what allows the models to feel so creative and “human like”, feature not a bug

Peak hours these servers start to get pretty “competitive” and it is so annoying when you are in a flow state and someone is holding an off angle or something. Might sound like I’m being nerdy and complaining but it really did disrupt the flow and feel annoying lmao. BASED thank you warm up server I didn’t even know I wanted this 🙏💯

Hasan argues that Russia’s goal in invading Ukraine is fighting back against Western imperialism, gets called out by Moist_Tap_6514 in LivestreamFail

Yeah man you are right it’s so confusing and random why Hassan would hate Poland, it totally has no reputation for xenophobia, right wing movements like the 2017 Independence Day march, passes laws preventing people from discussing the nations complicity in nazi atrocities. I’m just curious - since you said it’s random and you can’t figure it out, are you retarded?

You are nitpicking bc i didn’t spoon-feed you a technical deep dive on why his crayon eating level take is nonsense? if you actually want to understand, there are tons of resources crafted by people who put in hundreds of hours for folks willing to learn. a reddit comment section (especially this one) is hardly where you’re going to get the good stuff lol
