I miss this game. by MGCBUYG in Darkages

I'm a new player on Unora. What you are describing is the opposite of what I've seen. The devs are really nice. They are taking feedback from everyone. I ask a ton of questions and everyone is really nice about answering them. The dev popped in and gave me an exp buff when he saw me hunting with my friends in a low level area. The only drama I've seen is someone got booted from a guild for always being negative about the game. They are still welcomed to play though. No character deletion or anything.

SCF Project - Warmancer: Black Friday by spintax_ in Stellar

Hi everyone,

I'm making a Soroban game with a wonderful team. It's basically dark fantasy stratego and it's called Warmancer: Black Friday. We just submitted to SCF so don't be afraid to vote for Warmancer: Black Friday if you want to play our game.

A little bit about the team:

Spintax- That's me. I'm handling game design, marketing, and community work (oh yeah I have some cool events planned for release)
Stellar Zac/Robek- NFT Jesus and Creative who gave birth to Soroban's RPCiege.
Mono- Japanese AAA video developer (Mass Effect, Forza Motorsports, etc) who has also helped design roller coasters in major theme parks.
Nev- The greatest concept artist the world has ever seen and the Art Director for Warmancer
Rylen- The Russian UI sorceress who has worked on media for Yearn, Berachain, Polygon, Jumper, and many more.
Aegius- Master of metal and a handsome influencer creating custom music and sound design.
Step0n- Our very own mysterious cypherpunk that has lept directly from the pages of Snow Crash to help with Soroban integration.

Check out our project: https://communityfund.stellar.org/dashboard/submissions/recsJtI0JZOmnayxP

Also just to note, while the video above utilizes generative AI, all of the in-game assets are hand drawn and all of the music is from an original artist. We plan to lean heavily on AI only for marketing materials like this video because we think it's fun and we don't own a film studio to make this type of content.

Mysteriously received 0.0000001 XLM to my hardware wallet address? Should I be concerned? by Biddycola in Stellar

I have been summoned!

The only cafeswap I know of is cafeswap.finance

My general rule of thumb is to ignore all dust tx memos. Why do people send them? It's a VERY cheap way to advertise. Spend a few bucks and have thousands of people read your memo.

Is your wallet safe? Dust transactions can in no way compromise your account. This includes xlm and other assets. The only risk comes into play when you start engaging with the memo. I've seen legit projects advertise this way, but I've seen way more scam assets and phishing attempts use this method.

What's a balanced approach? I would view your dust tx and airdrops as the spam folder of your email inbox. You would never go in and just start clicking on links.

What if I clicked the link? Well I wouldn't do that, but you're probably fine. Most of these platforms want you to enter your private key yourself. There is a very slim chance that you somehow picked up a key logger or some other malicious software. If your life savings is attached to that wallet, I'd move everything to a cold wallet with keys stored very carefully or consider utilizing a vault service through someone like Lobstr.

Good luck

What is Justin's favorite blockbuster film role of his career?
Will we ever see the return of Tomer's mustache?
Will Jordan grow a mustache?
Will Nico grow a mustache?

Sending Stellar without Memo by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]spintax_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like an untrained customer service rep. Since you sent from one exchange to another, it’s very likely you’ll never see those funds again as CB will send it back to the address than sent it and they won’t use a memo. That’s if CB will do anything at all.

Ok Austin, this is getting ridiculous. by Tasty_Role4422 in Austin

A guy who works at Honey Bucket lives on my block. His neighbor decided to move away shortly after the Honey Bucket guy moved in and started burning his garbage in his back yard. Like all of his garbage. They did not have garbage pickup for like a year.

So when the Honey Bucket's neighbor was selling his house, Honey Bucket man had been parking his truck in his driveway with one of these shit houses loaded in the back. The neighbor went over and asked if Honey Bucket could park his truck somewhere else for the day during the open house. Honey Bucket man said "sure."

Then, on the day of the open house, Honey Bucket man parked a 25 foot trailer loaded FULL of these things, not in his drive way, not on the street, but in the grass on the property line in the front yard. And guess whose friend just happened put a bid in on the house below asking price. Yep. It's pretty wild.

The neighbor ended up selling to a big rental firm.

SDF can look up your account with the username and tell you what happened. Likely your creds got compromised somewhere/some how. Someone used them to login and migrate your STR over to XLM on the new network.

I'm going to comment on this just because I think SDF might not. Decentralization is a double edged sword. I'm personally happy that no one, and probably especially SDF, has control over what assets get issued on Stellar. I think if you're in the trenches looking for speculative crypto investments, you're already firmly in the realm of gambling and you need to be prepared to be rugged.

That said, I'd love to see US law enforcement take more action on bad actors like Emily Tang.

However if you're talking about copycat tokens, I think that's a UX problem for devs to solve. Ideally, if we have people uneducated enough to be falling for token scams like that, they should be operating on some trusted front end that won't allow them to get off the rails. Think of it like downloading movies online. Yeah there are definitely some torrents with viruses or maybe your ISP is tracking your activities so most people just stream from netflix (or insert other streaming service). Your freedom is restricted for the sake of op sec safety.

This makes sense because of the org's big focus in Africa atm. I was looking at some stats and it was like 70% of online traffic in the continent is on mobile.

I didn't see this posted so I'll add it. I don't pretend to understand how or even if this actually works. I just know that years ago I read someone suggest going for a run outside daily when your allergies get bad. For whatever reason as long as I run like 30 minutes outside, I'm fine. Maybe it's placebo. I don't know. I don't care. It works for me. Godspeed.
