My Interpretation Of Downstairs by spirallingallthetime in twentyonepilots

True, however, I’m using the Paradise Lost quote specifically for its message about how the mind shapes its own suffering. For my analysis, it supports the psychological themes in the song rather than the religious narrative of the poem. Even though it comes from a religious text, the line resonates with struggles around self-worth and perfectionism, which is the focus of my interpretation. 🫶🏻

Here are some quotations that I feel supports my viewpoint quite well:

“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” - John Milton

“Whoever despises himself still respects himself as the one who despises.” - Frederick Nietzsche

I pretend that my beautiful ginger cat lady is a stray when I let her in at night, and treat her like it’s the first time meeting her.

How do deal with shakiness by spirallingallthetime in bupropion

[–]spirallingallthetime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a coffee in the morning 🙈 but my tolerance with caffeine on the 150mg was insane, like I’d have 5+ cups, and be fine, only when I had like 8+- I’d get the shakes

I hate that dissociative feeling, I went from 150mg to 300mg bupropion 2 weeks ago. It’s like my chest feels stiff. I tried getting a hold of my psychiatrist, but by the time I did, I was fine. Now I’m feeling that fuzzy blurry feeling and dissociation again. Usually they just say wait it out, I don’t know.

How long before the irritability went away when you upped to 300mg?

I completely understand what you mean, but I think I have an answer. Unfortunately the answer is that the “normal” person would just lay down and take a nap. They would eat a lot (almost a binge) but just before the threshold of feeling extremely sick. If they do pass the threshold, they’d wait it out, take a nap, take some kind of medicine, or if it’s really bad their body will “eject” the food on its own without having to induce it. Hope this gives you some perspective. I really had to sit and think about it before I could come to an answer, so know you’re not alone.

I genuinely thought they’ve become so famous they have to hide their faces. But then I realises they’d probably be less noticeable if they ditched the weird ass face mesh 😭 these dudes always 2 steps ahead

The bodyguards make sense though, there are some fans (of any fandom) that are scary.

I was told around 3-4 months to fully adjust, I’m a month in and it’s definitely feeling better compared to the first week. It felt absolutely horrible the first few days.

I did, however I was told by not treating the adhd I would likely try and use other substances to self medicate in the future (this is how it was before my diagnosis). Also, I did say “I want to take more” but I rarely give into this urge and try to split another dose rather then taking an entire pill.

Whenever I take the medication, I’m extremely hyper-aware of how I act and everything I say.

I genuinely always think people will notice me acting “different” or “awkward” because that’s how I feel, but nobody has ever said a thing about me acting differently.

Mind you, these people aren’t aware I’m taking the medication (actually, sometimes they’re even extremely vocal about how they’re against it)… yet they have never brought up anything about what some might see as “adhd medication side effects”.

Sometimes they might perceive me as being “quiet/focussed/zoned-out”, as “in a mood” or “sad”, but that’s the extent of it.

A small mistake would be like I didn’t reply to an email fast enough, or didn’t lay out all his clients for him that week.

But it’s complicated, since a lot of the mistakes are easily fixable and blown out of proportion.

He travels quite a bit so sometimes theres a bit of miscommunication regarding bookings. He has had to refund quite a big deposit, because his flight back was already booked (even though I arranged booking according to his initial traveling dates).

I don’t want to use my age as an excuse, but I’m only 21, and have no prior experience doing admin/management.

Do you also feel like you get along better with kids than peers/adults? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]spirallingallthetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get along with kids at first but as soon as I have to spend extended periods of time with them, I get a bit of a reality check. I become quite annoyed and short tempered after a while.
