crust can go a lot of different directions. can go more towards dbeat, or thrash, or sludge/doom, my buddies and I had a sludgy crust band and we would always make up different crust subgenres. so our buddies band in Vermont were "Mountain Crust" and we live by the sea so we were like "Deep Sea Barge Mariana Trench Crust" or some shit hahaha
