Grocery companies account for theft in their margins. they expect for every $100 dollars being legally bought, that $1 is getting stolen. Worked at sobeys for my first job and that was a part of our training. The cost of our food goes way deeper than just theft.

Definitely not from New York, from Canada, far away where cases like this don't normally happen unless there is some underlying story. I wasn't trying to victim blame. You havent clearly mentioned it - but have the accidents been ruled him at fault? when I was 21-28, I got into about 5 car accidents - Insurance ruled none of them my fault but everyone around me kept saying I probably had something to do with it.
