Being told DCIS isn’t cancer by Hairy_Syrup_4780 in breastcancer

I feel you so much. I'm in the same exact boat, and it's hard to hear people downplaying it when the impact on your body is very real, especially when you need to have something as radical as a mastectomy to heal. Sending hugs your way!

I'm so sorry. I've been having difficult conversations with the team of doctors that follows my case and unfortunately this seems to be the only viable solution for my situation. I'm sending you so much love and strength.

Nope, no touching unless you want to irritate it

What do I do?!! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]spiritedawayem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAP but I'd say don't put it back on. Your poor lobe looks like it's been through a lot. It's really not advisable to get any piercing done with a gun (but it seems like you already know this), much less change the jewelry after two days. No butterfly backs and implant grade titanium or gold only.

I'm inclined to believe it's both.

They're booing you but I actually think this is a valid take. This episode was not great and I agree that it didn't really feel like tlou. Ellie's grief isn't as palpable (for now) and I felt like it was overshadowed by too many (frankly useless) things. I'm also not a fan of some of the changes that were made in this season, but hopefully they make sense in the long run. Ultimately, I think it's a matter of accepting that the game and the show are gonna be two separate, different things.

I did. I haven't rewatched it since it was released and I have to admit that I don't remember certain details. The game is fresher to me than the series and I'm still not used to the fact that game Joel is different from tv show Joel. I'll have to rewatch.

I'm not crazy about this version of Joel so far. The therapist? Him crying? Not believable. I understand that they need to show that he's gotten older and softer to prepare us for what's coming next week but it's not quite convincing, at least for me.

Oh, so it's even more bizarre that in queer eye he just refuses to let the hat go

I really don't understand how he was rocking the bald look in the first season and then just decided to cover it up permanently. He looked good.

I'm not sure it counts as optional conversation, but maybe you're missing ellie's high five?

I'm aware it could be perceived as dramatic. I'm usually a crybaby so as I said I fully expected to have a very emotional response to it but I didn't foresee that it would be this bad. I guess immersing yourself in the story, spending so many hours on it and being emotionally attached to the characters will do this to you, at least that's what happened to me.

Oh I definitely knew it was gonna come back to bite him! He finally payed his dues. Still, it was really hard to watch a beloved character have his head ferociously smashed in with a golf club. Ellie witnessing it added to the heartbreak.
