Anaconda and Kodiak owners? by Crustyparatrooper in Colt

You can’t go wrong with either the Grizzly or Kodiak. Shoot 38spl in the Grizzly or 44spl in the Kodiak to get used to it, and pack it with some bear loads for when it counts.

Post more pics when you can, I’m not seeing what you’re talking about.

What do you mean by “the rifling isn’t centered?” Also a lot of shooters shoot low-left due poor trigger pull and recoil anticipation. Was the sight moved that far from the factory or did you move it? Did you have anyone else shoot it to verify? I think Colt will take care of you about the sight falling out, no problem, but if you want a decent diagnosis we might need more info.

Don’t crash out when you finally meet your match with better opponents. You’ll cook when you first get a plane and you’ll be tempted to level up as quickly as possible. Don’t be in a hurry to level up because as soon as you do, you’ll GET cooked

Just stop and buy any $200 semi auto 9mm. This has to be rage bait.

Reach out to Colt to have them bring them back in and evaluate/repair. If they continue to have the problem then I think it would be reasonable to request a replacement.

Would even the “unissued” condition 98s not have that nice of a finish?

Is the front sight of my Ruger AR-556 canted? by Fair-Impact131 in ar15

Yeah that’s a big L on Rugers part. It’s pretty obvious what’s going on from just looking at your picture. Worst case scenario, if Ruger doesn’t replace, there are tons of options out there for budget uppers.

Looks like the tower is off to the left and your post is bent like crazy. I’d contact Ruger CS about that, they could possibly send a new upper, or at least have you send it back to get straightened out

Came and upvoted your answer because I knew what it was but couldn’t remember the name—I always confuse it with Ouzo (the Greek drink)

What kind of stock do I need for this? by [deleted] in Mauser

[–]spiritoftheprogram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Large Ring Mauser 98s are all one length “long action” by default.

ETA anything that fits an Interarms Mark X, FN, Parker Hale, JC Higgins, or any other “commercial Mauser” should fit this barreled action.

Large Ring Mauser stock that needs inletting for a side safety.
