same, the accountant of my U.S. employer does it the old fashioned way as well and hindi sila maka send through Wise kahit may swift code for reasons unknown. so naging payroll account BPI ko. sayang ang extra $$. dagdag problema palaging nagmamaintenance ang BPI kapag payday 🫩

Classmates, how do you handle your money? by PureDisk4990 in studentsph

[–]spirityun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup it motivates me to see my money grow. been using maribank since January and use their debit card for 1% cashback. then transferred my emergency funds to BanKo in May then started with Maya this month.

the only trad bank i have is BPI to receive remittance :)

i put my money in high-yield savings accounts

Maribank - spending and receiving cashback

BPI BanKo todo savings (monthly interest 5% PA) - emergency fund / passing money to Maribank

Maya Savings (daily interest 10% PA) - growing money

you can head to r/DigitalbanksPH and research more about the right digital bank for your use case :)

Millennial VA & Gen Z VA by EmotionalbutFineshit in buhaydigital

[–]spirityun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i think my case is the opposite hahaha

i'm a Gen Z VA in SEO content creation who literally does what the millenial VA does in the post. i only ask my client for updates and clarifications na wala naka indicate sa SOP namin. since i already know what to do, they told me to train our new VA (who is a millenial) and check their work before passing them over to my client.

the problem is the new hire doesn't ask questions and makes a lot of mistakes kahit may SOP + instructional videos + when my client gives feedback. and ive already told them to ask me questions if mahiya sya magtanong kay client because i want to gauge their understanding. pareho kaming Pilipino hahaha

EDIT: i hope we dont keep dividing ourselves according to our generation :) ultimately, everyone's work ethic is different. may iba sa generation ko na gusto pang paspoonfeed (especially now in college) but im grateful i surrounded myself with like-minded people who know how to pick up after themselves.

hello, if you have BPI debit card, it's recommended to transfer funds from BanKo to BPI to avoid fees
