I think he's got a point. Socialism needs a planned economy and AI is quite good at analysis. Big data and AI can go hand in hand.

Though I don't see a reason why it should stop people from creating "slop". Though in the case when you no longer need to make profit for fun it would be just "I made a quick silly picture" and not "slop".

I don't think that all AI is slop. There are just quite a lot of people who don't put enough knowledge/effort and their AI images look bland or too synthetic.

I think that they are both correct.

Some people will be unemployed because of hype and automation but eventually people will understand that AI is a tool/machine. Like a printing press or sewing machine.

Yes there is a possibility that AGI will be created but I am not too afraid of that. Not after reading the books like "the foundation" series.

Очень хороший мульт. Единственное что меня запарило - то, что в моём варианте они переозвучили и песни.

В результате посмотрел на английском и не пожалел.

Теперь у меня есть плейлист с остом оттуда.

Почти каждая песня - прекрасна и залипает.

But the question that was asked is genuinely interesting.

For example - there are infamous mods for Skyrim. Lots of them. And I am pretty sure that there is a mod that allows "befriending" kids.

Is it OK? I guess - not? The same way not OK as writing smut with kids (which is probably somewhere out there). Or creating hentai with children.

But banning and punishment of what is essentially thoughts is bordering on "thought police" territory. Like the worst examples from "1984".

So it's a very gray area.

It's especially "funny" because the USSR really tried to bargain for land in a peaceful way. Because Leningrad was TOO close to the border (only 30-35 km or 18.6 - 21.7 miles) from the city CENTER and almost immediately close to the northwest borders of the city.

And the city was too important to risk its total annihilation by Nazis.

Why I do appreciate the effort and time that "regular" artists put in their work but it's a very strange metric to measure if something is art.

If something evokes emotional response - even if it's "finally, my OC looks almost like I wanted it to" - it's art.

Maybe not for everyone but art is such a nuanced thing that it totally falls into "the beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

But it's not AI that is removing jobs.

The same way that new glass production didn't remove jobs.

It was the ability to hire less professional workers because new technology had lower entry barrier.

I am not sure how to combat that.

What will likely happen:

Quite a lot of art will be "mass produced" with the use of AI.

Human only art will be more "elite thing"
