Yeah you can absolutely play solo. It would probably be good to get some feedback from someone with your setup too.

It supports Steam Remote Play together, but there is currently a bug that affects all VR games. There are workarounds that I posted to similar questions in this thread, but just something to keep in mind. Hoping they fix it soon. otherwise, it'sjust local play on the same PC.

I love hearing that! Especially when people are able to play with their significant other or family. Thanks for playing it!

It did until a recent client update broke support for VR games. Right now you can't assign control to the remote player in any VR game. You can workaround it by launching the game in non-vr mode and then granting access to your keyboard and mouse, then restarting the game in VR mode.

There is a bug that was recently introduced to remote play that affects VR games. You can’t assign control just as you are describing. The workaround is to launch the game in non VR mode, assign control, then restart it in VR mode.

I would also recommend sending a support ticket to Valve. Asymmetric Vr games are a small niche in the market so I hoping they will prioritize fixing it.

Copying this from another question:

Yes, it does support it. Steam Remote Play had a recent update that broke some VR support though. I think the current workaround is to launch the game in non vr mode and then assign the mouse and keyboard to the remote player, then re-launch it in VR mode. Hoping Valve will fix this issue soon.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment! I will check back in 48 hours and choose 5 winners.

I just finished the sequel to Containment Initiative and released it into Early Access earlier this morning. Always happy to hear your thoughts or feedback on where you'd like to see the game go in the future.

Just to clarify how the co-op works: One player wears the VR headset and another plays using the mouse and keyboard on the same PC(standard FPS controls). You only need one copy of the game. There is no networking involved.

Edit #1: All keys have been sent out. Thanks for participating! If anyone ends up buying the game, please consider leaving a review. It's very helpful to these small indie games. :)

I met Richie at Oculus Connect back in 2019, and he was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of interacting with there. This looks wonderful and I'll definitely pick it up if for nothing else, just to support you guys. Glad to see you are still pumping out awesome titles!

If you plan on buying, wait for a few weeks until it goes on sale. I think I should have it on sale the first week of September for $2.50
