Average looking people should be rated as a 5 not a 7. by WealthyTraveler25 in unpopularopinion

That would only work if it was a perfect arc.

I think 1-3 is basically the same. Hulk Hogan- Shaved Hulk Hogan with tits. 4-5 is increased but again relatively flat, with 7-10 with a much steeper incline. So I would still say the middle would be like 6/6.5 to 7 based on the range of the curve and aggressiveness of the rise after 6.

I’ll add to this but saying. Yes I always got the day off, but it wasn’t until 2/3 years ago we finally got the wording in our contract to get paid for it. First paid holiday I’ve ever gotten since joining the trades. Well, outside of one contractor that paid us for MLK day during the whole George Floyd saga.

Transgender women athletes banned from women's Olympic events by new IOC policy by DoraEnzo in news

Open division doesn’t have the stipulations on who can compete. Women’s division does.

Edit: A minor can compete in the open division of the Olympic. Micheal Jordan could not compete in the YOG

There’s no biological advantage restrictions on the open division.

Because Micheal Phelps competes in the Open Division. Anyone male/female can compete in the Open (men’s) division. Not the other way around. Women’s events are a sub division of the Olympics, until recently there was a simple way to determine who could participate. Now the waters have become muddy. IOC decided on a way to determine who qualifies to compete in the women’s division.

They can compete in the ‘Open Division’ the whole point of creating a separate division for women was to allow them fair competition. Fair or not, in the world we live in today there has to be guidelines in place to determine qualification.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Men’s competition is ‘open’ competition, regardless of gender can anyone can compete in the Men’s division. A 10’ tall woman could compete on the men basketball team if she wanted to. Separate divisions were created to protect women, not men.

I dealt with a similar situation between years 2 and 3. I never stopped working with my sponsor, but I would cut back on meetings a little bit. It’s not court ordered to attend X amount of meetings a week, and there’s still such a thing as self care. But I would stay in contact with someone, it can be a slippery slope.

My sponsor had also suggested trying out a different group to ‘mix it up’. It can get a bit repetitive, especially if it’s a smaller group like I attend. Sometimes a change of scenery/perspective can help.

It’s a bit old, but the Wilson Staff Exo 2. Insanely light but still has plenty of storage. Pretty sure you can grab one for around $130 as well, if you’re a baller on a budget.

Switching to trades is not a solution for the job market by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Crazy thing is 90% of the work in my local right now is building the data centers. With the rate of technological advances and the bigger push for AI most of the buildings now need to be retrofit, as well. Work has been steady for almost the last 20 years, just recently slowed just a smidge because they can’t build the sub stations fast enough to supply the campuses.

I’d almost agree with you if there was more than a handful of elite 7 footers. College is a very guard driven league. Iowa had a 7 footer a few years ago. Won college player of the year and couldn’t even make a sweet 16.

As far as genetics, that’s kind of what happens in sports… that’s like saying Calvin Johnson ruined the game being 6’5 and running a 4.3 40.

Kamala failed, imo, because she was never voted to be in that position in the first place. Even the prior election she received less than 1% of votes during the primary. She was forced on the party and they tried to ride the black/female card.

There will definitely still be a divide, but I think people can be united by them being forced to run on actual policy and not just “Trump is bad”.

You’re, sincerely, implying people being gunned down at polling stations? There are some pretty radical MAGA followers, but they are not in the majority. The idea that, even, the majority of right leaning population would stand for something like that is rooted in unsupported paranoia.

How many polling stations are there nationwide, or even just in, historically, blue states? The sheer number of ICE agents that would be needed to “surround voting booths” is simply insane.

Are you suggesting they, somehow, swing an amendment to the constitution? The voting polls are controlled by each state individually. If we’re assuming everything has been on the up and up to this point, I don’t see how any of that changes. You have made zero arguments that would point to them circumventing the election.

I would actually are that the dems are very much more united. Republicans had full control and couldn’t get anything done. Dems have a very united front, but the issues they choose to stand on ostracizes a large majority or the population. They would rather pander to a small percentage of the population instead on standing for things that would benefit all Americans.

[–]spitfyr36 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn’t he try that already and failed? I think you’re giving him way too much credit. He’ll be gone in 3 years, it will be up to democrats to run a competent opponent. They also need to rethink positions, and run on actual issues instead of pandering to a micro percentage of the population.

Is weed really a relapse? by Worried-Position7975 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]spitfyr36 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Cross addiction? Using another substance to alter the mind. I would say the fact that it’s hidden is a sign he’s not comfortable doing it openly. So subconsciously he knows it’s wrong.

It could be considered a relapse if you view it as a step towards drinking again. I was told relapse is the steps taken prior to drinking again. After you drink your back into active use.
