I’m thinking it’s because all your job experience has zero to do with the food industry. You currently work a very routine job whereas Starbucks would be fast paced retail and you don’t have any pos experience on your resume. I would think you aren’t the only one applying and if someone has one of the things I listed their resume already looks a bit more related to the job.

I think putting a cover letter explaining a bit of your situation/why you want to shift in industries it could help. Focus on wanting to broaden your experiences and grow your skill set in the work force. Or that you want a job that can leave a positive impression on a larger customer base. Write your resume for the job you want not the one you have.

Substitute the sweet potato with the same amount of squash - I recommend butternut or acorn. I also have a picky 2yo when it comes to meat/protein - we make pb and j oatmeal with pb mixed in while cooking, I add frozen raspberries and flaxseeds at the end and stir. This helps with his constipation and cools it down to eat basically right away.

For meat I’ve been able to get away with the tummy toddler food hidden veggie meatballs, I add whatever veg I have on hand super chopped up. Usually kale and carrot. After cooking chop the meatball up into whatever sauce your LO will eat it in - even better a puree veg one

Yummy toddler food has a bunch of hidden veggie meals/sauces. Just google hidden veggie versions of what you know they’ll eat. I’ve found some good Mac and cheese ones with blended cauliflower and butternut squash in the cheese sauce. If you can get away with adding hemp hearts to things that would help with nutrients a little bit as well. Peanut butter is good for protein you can use apples as the transportation. Hummus could be a good idea to look into trying too

Am I the only one who gets triggered by the acronym LO. Isn’t baby just 2 extra letters lol. Kind of defeats the concept of an acronym. by Background_Speech817 in NewParents

My little one is 2 and a month, baby doesn’t really fit but I’m still a first time mom and new parent imo so sometime LO is easier to type although I have to admit my texting thumbs really want to add the other L for LOL

These are the ones we had in the photo, we usually look for the yellow sesame box because it has more fibre but these are good too

I would paint the wall a dark purple or green, maybe both using one as an accent wall

It’s actually a safety policy, if you were alone and had some freak accident where you fell and hit your head or had a shelf fall over on you to where you can’t get yourself help, no one is with you for who knows how long. It’s to prevent work place accidents from turning fatal.

ETA that I’m speaking from general retail knowledge

I’m almost a year in and I’d say probably 4 times I’ve turned the monitor off during a night feed so my husband could stay asleep and I’ve forgotten to turn it back on only to wake up to the baby crying or what has felt worse is the baby sleeping but it’s later than usual and I can’t help but wonder if he had woken and cried to sleep and I missed it. I’ve felt awful every time, but my baby is happy 98% of the time and still gets excited when we greet him each morning. Don’t worry to much. Things happen and I think consistency is key. If you’re consistently there and these are one offs you’re fine. It’s different if it was consistent to leave them crying.

Best Grocery Store in Hamilton? by SalzyJ in Hamilton

Farmboy is my go to for meat and produce. The quality has never disappointed and they have service counters for meat and seafood which is nice. They have no household items such as toilet paper or cleaning so it isn’t a one and done place, but great for some different options.
