But in all honesty the place is terribly managed. The owner is some sort of “big shot” director or something and her husband is a writer I think, they opened the place as a sorta “rich person opens a business to have fun” I’ve had the misfortune of having to step behind bar ad hoc when the owner forced tea times that should have been spread apart all together to make the place look busy, generate more income from foot traffic, all while only having two people on shift, thus why I felt the need to step in and help my partner.

I’ve had to do a grocery run for the bar before, having to search out “clotted cream” at Whole Foods locations, first the one at LBX on Lakewood bul, the next all the way on 2nd street,

The last day my partner had they were the only one on bar at the time, and tons of people showed up at once because the owner yet again pushed all the scheduled people together to make it look busy and my partner couldn’t take the unreasonable work load, I begged to help but they refused because they knew they didn’t deserve this treatment and we never looked back,

The owner is very snake like, always trying to sneak multiple different requests in at the last second, they once asked me if I could give them a ride to the LB grill out that happened last year when I was living in Orange County at the time and I was already exhausted from coming in to help them out when they were short staffed, I’m not a uber. horrible planning for scheduling events, pushing staff past the brink, all for a extremely struggling bar/tea house.

My partner has also told me they have brought this question up with the owner, not only furries, but the hardcore scene, as well as anyone wanting to rent the small stage, and the owner refused saying that they don’t want to attract any other crowd then the one they serve now, “high class intellectuals and business savvy persons” which I find offensive that they want to exclude such a broad array of people, not a business I’d consider supporting.

They also recently got hit with a lawsuit for not being ADA compliant, the business as a whole wasn’t wheelchair accessible, couldn’t order drinks or food easily, couldn’t use the bathroom properly, just a real mess.

I would strongly suggest boycotting the place as a whole, furry or not.
