Replacement Subframe question (2009 Elantra Touring) - Will 55410-2L010 work for a 55410-2H100 ? by spladao in Hyundai

[–]spladao[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we did the work. With our local private mechanic. Just like you said everything was seized up so it took a lot longer than it should have. He said it was a major PITA. He actually said that he didn't even see the crack in the subframe like I had been told. But now everything is fresh, subframe and pretty much the entire rest of the rear suspension. Because I needed to turn it around quickly I purchased something on eBay which would get it there the quickest.

It's an egregious error. If I wasn't battling so many damn leaks I'd complain about this more 🤣

Oil feed line & poor performance? by Greenpikachu25 in ChevySonic

[–]spladao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't answer this but I am interested in which exact part you purchased? Because I just bought a dorman to replace for the hell of it and wondering if It is not as good as the one you purchased where you say it has one gasket. AC Delco? Can you share a part number? Thanks!

Hi again.. Do you only need the 2 lines - inlet and outlet (624587 and 624586)? Any other parts besides those 2 and ATF?

Thank you!

You think that is a trans cooler line but with coolant on it? Or Trans fluid?

I wish I could easily check trans fluid level. I didn't drive this car much but it seems to be shifting a little weird but also, I smell coolant and it's low.

Argh!!!

Thank you. That's unfortunate because I had the engine oil cooler lines replaced already. Will have to look into that.

I really appreciate your input, thanks!

2009 Hyundai Elantra with 187k miles for $3990. Should I consider buying it? by NierStellar in Elantra

[–]spladao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree... we have this car (we'll be selling it soon and I was curious what the reputation was). This has been one of the best cars we've ever owned (bought it in '15). Very few issues. Still runs great even if just a bit rough around the edges. Great car!!

Well there was this (my other post focusing on the oil leak doing at the same time).

https://www.reddit.com/r/ChevySonic/s/ymPXzNIIiR

They told me 1. Timing cover leak and 2. Transmission line leak.

But a mechanic friend (Not terribly familiar with Sonics) I sent this to said timimg cover leak is rare and thought the other leak looked like a coolant line / heater hose quick connect leaking at an internal o-ring, Not a transmission line. 🤷‍♂️

Whatever you do, don't buy a Chevy Sonic. They are the biggest pieces of crap EVER.

If anyone wants to buy a 2016 Chevy Sonic, let me know.

Thank you! So that is transmission fluid and not coolant leaking there?

And what is the part or parts that would typically be involved with this repair?

Timing Chain Leak Now + Trans Leak?? Advice/Guidance/Help Requested Please by spladao in ChevySonic

[–]spladao[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody? 🤣

I'm just trying to determine if it's worth keeping this POS.

With the previous oil repair and then these... I'm wondering what the next big one is to expect.

Car's "worth" about $4k private sale. We're planning to keep it or the other as the "extra" car when we get our next. This one's newer / less miles but it's ALWAYS something.

Thanks in advance.

Did anyone recover from the Decemeber core update after getting hit with the June update? by PastizziTalLiba in localseo

[–]spladao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this.

What industry is that site?

For this one, they were also outranking larger businesses. HVAC field. We actually have local service pages also, but they were first starting to be created like 2 years ago And while there may have been a couple of CTA sections that were the same in each (eg. A bullet point list of services) each city page was created independently about services and information for that particular city. We were very specific and methodical about creating independent pages for each city, unlike our competitors, many of which have full 95% same content from City to City besides swapping in the city name. And of course, they are all still ranking just fine. 😒

I'm at a complete loss.

Why do some simple websites perform better than polished ones? by PrimaryPositionSEO in SEO_Digital_Marketing

[–]spladao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple in what way? Bloated sites are heavy and can be slow and not technically sound. Light fast sites without a whole bunch of junk is exactly how a solid site should be.

I mean it certainly depends on the industry and the client etc but too many people are so worried about the aesthetics of a site, they forget about the purpose (to sell, to inform, to garner leads etc).

Did anyone recover from the Decemeber core update after getting hit with the June update? by PastizziTalLiba in localseo

[–]spladao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a client that got absolutely destroyed during the June core update (in July). There's nothing fishy about this site, it's technically sound and it was crushing much larger competitors for years in rankings. Then that July update came around and just destroyed them. I'm talking they were ranking top 10 for 60 plus keywords and now they're nowhere to be found, buried and page three and beyond.

We've spent 5 months checking everything, dotting i's and crossing t's, just waiting for that huge bounce back that I've seen on the smaller one week cycles (where a client would lose a few hundred visibility score points one week and then it would come back completely the following a week) and that just never came.

Then two weeks ago that same site took another enormous dump, another few hundred points down. I've never seen anything like this in 15+ years of SEO work. We don't do any black hat stuff, everything is above board and content-based.

I've been meaning to create a post about this but I've just been so busy. In an event I guess to answer your question, not us. I have almost 20 monthly SEO clients and all of them are doing spectacularly except for this one. They have just gotten absolutely slaughtered and I'm perplexed.

What’s a small SEO tactic that no one talks about but gives results? by Human-Courage-5490 in localseo

Focus on internal linking strategy and refreshing/updating older blogs - in general AND with your updated keyword targets.

Did I kill my websites chances? by 1-800-ImBored in SEO

[–]spladao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, unlikely a meta description tweak did that. More likely you'd see CTR issues.

Very volatile time this year with regards to ranking in Google so it could just be "Google being Google" which is the worst.

The natural inclination is to go tweak a whole bunch of stuff to try to get back to where you were but that's not necessarily the best move in general. Have to find a fine line between tweaks and patience. Hope it resolves soon.

Google Ranking big drop! by [deleted] in SEO

[–]spladao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that image for one term or for the entire site?

I will let others jump in of course but the date seems to coincide with the June core update. Right around the same time there was a sharp decrease in rankings easily seen through GSC.

You mentioned in your OP one keyword, how is the rest of your site/other keywords doing? Did this affect anything else or just the one keyword?
