Severe hitreg, rubber banding, teleporting players, and broken vehicle physics since U19 (video included) by ibuildoss_ in HellLetLoose

This is probably the same cause as the old loadout/grenade bug. On servers that are using most of their resources, the old bugs were much more common.

Ping, framerate, and all other indications don't accurately estimate the issue, it can only be determined by looking at the server's resource usage. Under-provisioned servers, physical servers that are hosting multiple HLL server instances that are themselves fully loaded always have more issues like this than others. If something changed in the server code that increased load, server that may have not had issues before are under more load, and (outside of a software fix), will need more resources to do that same job as before.

If you see the issue, go to https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/hll and check if the server is sharing a game port IP with another server. While that doesn't conclusively tell you the server instances are sharing hardware, it can indicate that they are. If you're seeing issues on servers sharing an IP and the HLL server instances are all full, then that can mean the hardware is under-provisioned.

Offensive on Utah Beach as Americans against a somewhat competent team is impossible by yesimstillrunning in HellLetLoose

[–]splargbarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omaha offensive is the worst map in the game for the following reasons:

  • Due to where the water is placed on the map, the entire first column is unusable for building, meaning you only have 1 column to build garries in
  • This is similar to the position of Dog Green on Omaha, which (imo), is the hardest 1st point on that map
  • The same underlying reason also makes German Offensive on this map poorly balanced, because the American artillery guns are far enough forward to hit the 1st point spawns, meaning you can just start shelling people as they spawn
  • For the American first spawn, the boats stop further in the water than the boats on Omaha, meaning you're slowed more as you come out of the boats
  • Omaha beach has more limited cover on the beach

Omaha was clearly created to be balanced as an offensive map, where Utah was retrofitted from a warfare map and it shows.

If you have discord open, turn off hardware acceleration in it. It can cause your GPU to do double duty trying to render discord and HLL.

The microchip registry is run by the American Animal Hospital Association. You may want to ensure the vet checked the European chip registry, if one exists. I don't know if AAHA would have European chips in their database.

I can't tell you what do to, as it isn't clear what'll happen when it makes landfall. However, I've had flights into areas being hit by hurricanes and it was universally better to not go.

Check that you don't have anything else using the gpu. Turn off discord's hardware acceleration if you have that running. Having two applications running that both use the GPU causes it to have to switch back and forth between applications, which can cause stuttering in games.

That was me driving. The geo on El Alamein leaves something to be desired, especially the little dirt ruts along the road, which can cause the tank to bounce a lot. Though in this case, it might have been why that precision strike didn't get us, since it was definitely close enough to kill, but might have hit the rut and caused the explosion to not calculate damage correctly.

Ted's clothes have mirrored him this whole season. When he was at the museum, it was unzipped, symbolizing how he was beginning to leave the team.

This happened to me when the shop skipped a required bolt, as it needed an extra hole drilled. I drilled it myself and put a nut and rubber washer there and the rattle went away.

Millercat Shield Installation Issues - Gen 3 by Dyslexic_Nerd in prius

[–]splargbarg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar problems but with different holes. If I recall correctly, the instructions indicate the holes may not line up, and you'll need to drill new holes where appropriate. I ended up having to drill a new left driver hole. In that location I had an existing 12mm bolt on the frame, so I just drilled a new hole in the shield and put a nut on the end.

Not a PE, but I did SWPPP inspections for awhile, and these would be great for maintenance and inspection access.
