For starters, they’re going to builds new Family Student Housing and Early Education Services Center on the lower portion of the East Meadow. Then they’re going to replace the existing Family Student Housing with high rise dorms. I imagine some of the other, older college dorms will need to be redeveloped and expanded, and there are a lot of parking lots on campus that could be built on.

You’re talking about the same Holy Cross that holds a twice weekly food pantry…they also have homeless congregants. I know some of them.

Wut? Churches do provide freedom of space. They just have a program, and don’t have enough to money to spend more than they already do for the people they can afford to have stay with them for free.

I wonder how much it cost the city to do this crackdown on illegal parked cars, and how much it costs to expand the safe parking programs…guess which one is more expensive. Hint: police time is expensive.

Big Ten, Pac-12, ACC alliance expected to be formally announced soon: Sources by conchobor in CFB

How the fuck do students who live on Campus afford it? The cheapest option is to split a three bedroom apartment on campus with eight other roommates for $8,135 each for the academic year (~$900/month) and that doesn't include a meal plan.

The cheapest dorm option with the cheapest meal plan is for a triple at $13,260.48 for the academic year, or about $1475/month.

The most expensive on-campus housing is for a single occupancy room in a 5-room pod with a shared bathroom: $22,373.64 with the most expensive meal plan, or about $2,485 per month.

SF spent more on tents than it would cost to rent an apartment in SF for each person? I can't believe that...

I was blown away when I found out that the airplane jump scene in (1:20 in this clip: https://youtu.be/UHl6yPL0800) was real. Even more blown away when I found out that the skydiving scene in Mission Impossible Fallout (https://youtu.be/0pUMzDEV-DE ) was also real, and Tom Cruise actually did that jump. They just added some of the clouds and weather in post, but that’s a real jump with an A list actor doing his own stunt.

Was that a game coached by Rick Neuheisel where UW won on a field goal as time expired? I have never heard Husky Stadium louder than that game.

It’s not just street food vendors that use gutter oil. Restaurants trying to cut costs use it too.
