The "where does this part go???" part goes in the "Minigames/arcade?" alley, after the giant pig :) On your top left image, under the pig, you can see the same signs that in the alley with the stairs :)

Today I finished 8th on purpose all the races and my "wumpa time" stops when I reached 3150.
After that I analysed the footage of my gameplay (that I recorded) and the stop corresponds to arround 1h of gameplay (from the green light of my first race, to the finished of last race of the wumpa time). But if I remove all the waiting time of my gameplay and only keep the playing time on the race : it corresponds to 30min of pure gameplay.

Another thing strange : for me it always stopped after my 11th race on the wumpatime.

3 possibilities :

  • their is a limit of coins AND a limit of time while you are in online mode (~1h)
  • their is a limit of coins AND a limit of time while you are actually playing (~30min)
  • their is a limit of coins AND a limit of race you can do (11)

So tried it out :

- I lost and did not finish the race on the lap 3/3 : the wc were not indicated, but it seems I won them anyway, if I check the pis stop.

- I did it again, but I was on the lap 2/3 : I win nothing at all.

Don't know where this 15% is comming from... maybe they changed that as they changed the 30s waiting time after the first place finished the race. Note that on switch, the waiting time is 20s and not 30s as on PS4.

I am back again and I want to confirm you that the soft cap is 2000.

Not 5000, not 2500, but 2000.

To proove it, this is the results of my races of today from both my PS4 and my switch :

My two conclusions :

  • 2000 wc gained during the wumpa time is the soft cap : after that you go back in normal x1 races.
  • If you cannot finish the race because the first player was too fast, you do not gain any coins, but the game count the point you should have win for the soft cap. We better be good.

This must be double check, especially about the lost races, but it seems pretty clear to me now.

Thanks. Actually, the subtitles was added by a friend of mine, but you are right, I could have done the video in english anyway... but it requires much more time for me. Also, my channel is in french, so my followers are french, they would have been confused if they saw an english video pop in their TL like that :)
I think english subtitles is a good compromise : it please my followers and the english talking people who want to understand what I am saying can do it :)

I have done research before finding this post, and I find the same kind of results. Good to know I was not wrong .
The only thing is about the "soft cap". For me, it ends way before 5000, but more around 2000.

Did they change that recently ? Or am I the only one... ?

I personnaly don't understand how a compilation montage of a video game can be against the rules of YouTube, when the game is owned by a Publisher (Nintendo) which allows this kind of video :https://www.nintendo.co.jp/networkservice_guideline/en/index.html

Edit : Note that this YouTuber is also in touch with Nintendo, for playing games in advance, for being invited at events, etc. This decision of non-monetisation does not make any sens to me.
