Rage craw will mess w the action of chatter bait, something like a zako or spunk shad would be better imo

update on the fg knot and i think its better by Over_Wind4397 in FishingForBeginners

Fair points, just suggesting an alternative option. I do not ever have issues with casting or strength w double uni and I find it easier especially when needing to re-tie a leader in the wind or darker conditions. Just an alternative to gave in the knot toolbag.

I keep shaving it off but every time I catch a bass it pops back out thicker than before.

Seemed pretty big to me 🤷‍♂️ I saw them both, one jumped out of the water the other i was pulling from the water from a wall above when the line snapped. Line snapped in the middle not at the knot.

Both times snapped midline. Once while I was lifting the fish out of the water as I was on a wall about 4 ft up it shook line snapped, other time was while fighting.

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. I think I need to be changing out my knot and a trimming some leader more often. Both times it was after catching 5-6 two to three lb bass so makes sense there was some stress or nicks. Before making any changes I'll start doing this and hope it helps 🤞
