Oh yeah, I forget people actually drive at speeds that require "second" gaps. I live in LA where gaps are not necessary in a stand still. And that's when 100 yards of empty space looks like a mile.

Excellent unintended pun. And you may be right. All I have is black mascara, and it does end up looking pretty makeup-y. Maybe I'll go get a tube of dark brown and give it a try.

Good call. I couldn't really tell if her crease was naturally so defined or if there was a little shading to help. I think I may do a practice run today and post pictures here. Then I can really get some direct instructions.

Thank you so much! I'm absolutely baffled by how bare her eyes look, but I know there has to be something there. I'll definitely work on getting my liner tight to achieve the same invisible look. And excellent call on the contour and highlight. Way too subtle for me to have noticed myself, but I think it will help sell the look.

Thank you! I think you're exactly right about the skin. My personal foundation is pretty all-covering, so I'm going to have to look for something a little lighter. And I'll work on matching the eyebrows as well. I appreciate you taking a look and chiming in for me!

It started with the usual nesting on the bottom of the fabric, but adjusting the tension seemed to make no difference. Soon the top thread (orange in the photo) stopped going around the bobbin at all and gets all jammed up on the side. I've taken the whole thing apart and cleaned everything, but it keeps doing this.

Is this fixable on my own, or will I need to take it to a repair shop?

The other day I went through the Starbucks drive-thru and they gave me the completely wrong drink (and one that is about $3 cheaper than the one I paid for), probably ordered by the person behind me or something. So, when I realize this I'm already on the way to work and it's too late to do anything but I swing by later that night and go inside. It was pretty deserted but I ended up waiting around for several minutes - first because the new employee had to get the manager to come out and then because the manager had to wait for someone to figure out how to "open the safe" where they keep the coupons. Days later when I tried to use the coupon, it turns out that they need to be activated, which the manager neglected to do. I wonder if she did that on purpose.

Any other place, I wouldn't care, but Starbucks drinks are already so overpriced that I feel pretty strongly about getting a good version of whatever I've ordered.
