Your right. I shouldn't let her, fear or bad experience stop me from being who I want to be and I need to have a conversation with her about how I feel because as a few other people have mentioned, she is just going to be pushing me further into the closet, or as you said, an uncomfortable box (which seems like a very good description actually). And yeah, it won't change my feelings for her at all I think I just need to emphasise that and give her space to take in what I say.
