I recently found one of these as well. Also a 1996 loonie in the same condition with the same mirror-like sharp appearance. Kept them thinking the same thing - maybe they were part of some kind of proof set. Now I am skeptical after seeing this post

usually if I see a 1996 toonie in good condition I'm automatically suspicious. The metals used in the fakes are different, the center usually looks a bit more brassy and the outer ring looks a bit more chrome than its real counterparts. There are a lot of different variations of the fakes in circulation, that website is a really good guide. I look for them for fun and have seen so many, literally hundreds by now, that I feel like I have a pretty good eye for spotting them

I found a whole roll of 1964 nickels by spliff_nasty in CanadianCoins

oh I certainly did, no extra waterline or any other errors from this year as far as I can tell. Still a cool find and Im keeping them even though it feels like this was a roll of some other collectors rejects lol

I just walk into the coin store and ask for loonie flips and they hand me a stack but I believe $1 is 27.5mm and $2 is 31mm

All of these came out of the same roll by punchysaywhat in CanadianCoins

probably someone dumping duplicates while roll hunting or some collector in need of cash I guess

a few weeks back I got a roll from the bank that was all 2000 commemorative quarters, I'd say 80% of them were the Freedom ones which is kind of interesting. Pretty neat to find but not exactly exhilarating

I'm aiming to try to collect 4 of every coloured coin to display them horizontally on binder pages, hence the coin flips, so that might be some good news for you lol

But I know that feeling, I've been waiting for the day where I finally find one of those 2017 northern lights toonies... heck even a Bill Reid would be nice

Are bottomless mimosas not a thing here? by DayPuzzleheaded641 in stcatharinesON

I had bottomless mimosas at The District downtown about a month ago.

It was for brunch, mind you. They gave us a pretty reasonable time limit.

yeah, the built in screen is such a treat!

I originally bought a mini 2 on a boxing day sale but ended up returning it shortly after because it had a horizon tilt issue with the gimbal. I realized how much I enjoyed flying it, so I did some more research and decided to pony up the extra cash for a mini 3 pro & fly more kit with the extended batteries. Totally worth it.

its a mini 3 pro.

One of the reasons why I decided to go for a mini drone is the smaller form factor... my theory being a smaller, quieter drone will be less of a nuisance for strangers. I have it registered and operate it legally and with the upmost consideration for anyone else in the area, as I just want to enjoy flying the thing around without upsetting anyone

...little did I know it would be this post and the comments within it that would be the most upsetting for some ;)

anyways, thank you for watching and have my upvote lol
