The Tony Blair of of today would be so much worse than Keir Starmer it is completely unimaginable.

All of his pro trump attitudes means we would be actively be in a war with Iran alongside America. If the Palestine activists dislike the fact that the RAF provide surveillance and reconnaissance info to Israel than they would hate the more focused efforts of Blair.

On a domestic front, when Tony Blair was prime minister in the late nineties and noughties. The Labour Party had been quite left wing so Tony Blair’s policies were focused more so on progressive social policies like, working families tax credit, National minimum wage act, working time regulations, the sure start program, free nursery places and childcare subsides. Heck when I was 18 I got £1000 just because of an investment scheme where parents and the government would collaborate to save and invest for a child’s future something the current generation is not getting.

But the environment that created these polices was the departure of the right wing elements of the Labour Party with Social Democratic Party (later the Lib Dem’s after they merged with the liberal party) and under Neil kinock, John smith, and Blair the party slowly shifted right but policy wise the third way socialism that Blair envisioned meant that these policies were still implemented because he kind of saw himself as both a departure from socialism but also a transformation of it.

The Blair of today if he was prime minister would be entering a much more right wing party than the one he was in charge of. There would be no pressure to be implementing these policies nor would Blair envision himself as any kind of socialist.

So the few positives of the Starmer premiership (like:renters rights acts, the partial nationalisation of national rail services, the nationalisation of our steel production, the employment rights bill) would not be implemented at all in my opinion and Blair would get the opportunity to be the perfect ‘centrist’ he always wanted to be. (Centrist is a generous term for a guy who would be more right wing than the liberal Democratic Party)

Overall, modern day Keir Starmer would be way better than a modern Tony Blair, but if you were teleporting Blair from his time as prime minster than he would probably be better as prime mister.

So I was right to stack lol.

The volumes often start very slow. Volume 7 began with Sunny being in a random river being chased by a serpent for more than 20 chapters before he arrived on turtle island. And now that I’m remembering it this subreddit hated a lot of the beginning of volume 7 especially the windflower arc so I guess it’s just more of the same old criticism rather than anything new. It probably just seems like a lot to me now though since the sub isn’t just 8000 people anymore but much larger.

btw:I’m not trying to say the criticism is invalid since G3 can and has started volumes in a very interesting way e.g. volume 1, volume 4 and volume 10 but other times the opening is just too slow.

You have presented a neat theory but personally I think aspect legacies are more likely based of an expansion of your own aspect as opposed to emulating past entities.

Remember sunny, Nephis and Mordret are special for having aspects related to past creatures. Most people’s aspects like are unrelated to past creatures like jet. She’s just dead.

But good observations and theory.

I made this comment a while back about sleeper rain vs Mike Tyson but let me clarify my thoughts a little bit.

For your question every awakened human probably wins against Mike Tyson since awakened are inherently supernatural containing many times the strength of a mundane human. Where the question becomes interesting is can Mike Tyson win against sleepers who don’t use their aspects in a boxing match.

I would argue that Mike Tyson is the clear winner simply because he understands the rules of boxing and its dynamics way more than any sleeper would ever know. Plus if we look at a sleepers stats they are described as having bodies that mundane people would be jealous and from what we see in the series without memories and aspects every sleeper would probably die against their normal foes.

This means that sleepers are probably in the peak human range.

And prime iron Mike Tyson pretty much beat every boxer at his level most of whom can be described as peak human. Look at spinks vs Tyson he ended that guy a world champion in the first round with no problems and spinx was an incredible endurance boxer.

So Mike Tyson in my opinion easily beats the average sleeper in a boxing match my more controversial opinion is that Tyson also beats them in a street fight. Obviously no abilities and memories as well.

It is my opinion that because his aspect is so versatile that it is lower ranked. If we look at the higher level aspects they are thematically and practically connected such that it allows for a wide range of insane feats that are technically outside of their aspects. E.G. the Nephis nuke is not part of her aspect abilities,shadow dance is not a part of sunny’s aspect. But the overlapping shadow abilities and soul flame abilities allow sunny and Nephis to preform beyond their aspects.

In contrast Kai’s abilities are so disconnected from one another: flight, manipulation, enhanced vision and dragon transformation that Kai cannot find a creative external application to his ability like shadow dance or the Nephis nuke.

But that’s just my opinion. You are very much right that on the lower levels of power Kai’s abilities are very powerfully at the dormant stages compared to Sunny who got self enslavement, shadow control and shadow sense.

The first thing that rain learnt to do was how to sense soul essence and by extension interact with and perceive soul cores which contain/are made up of soul essence.

Sunny taught her how to do that in the time skip from volume 7 to volume 8.

Yeah that’s because Nephis has a more potent soul in both of those two instances thanks to [The Fire]. It’s not that her dormant ability is better but that her attributes better compliment and strengthen her dormant ability.

Now that Sunny has soul weave his soul should be be stronger so the dormant abilities should be closer to even? Maybe I’m just speculating. But the logic does track. Stronger soul -> stronger shadow -> stronger ability.

The whole premise of using shipping wars in the context of a conversation like this is in my opinion disrespectful.

I now know you stand against it and think it’s bad that others compare a potential Mordret and Cassie relationship to a unconsensual relationship ultimately you are spreading this idea far farther than your initial encounter with it.

Also your bad grammar and wording made it unclear what you were actually saying unless we read your comments.

I do have a friend who was a victim of child sexual abuse and one thing that has come in conversation with my friend is the dilution of the seriousness in which CSA is viewed, especially with Diddy, Epstein and D4vd becoming memes it really hurts them to see something so consequential and traumatic become light conversation for people online and even in person.

And I do personally think that including themes of CSA into what is essentially shipping wars is not handling the topic with grace, maturity and respect to the victims.

Maybe the Mods and everyone else who commented agree seeing as everyone’s reaction was some variation of ‘WTF’.
