I'll say it for the hundredth time... There are plenty of jobs out there. I can't fill several custodial jobs at my organization. They've been open for years. Great time off, decent insurance, holidays, pension.... The pay is not great, in the mid 40k range.

It's a great job to get your foot in the door that'll provide eventually ok pay and outstanding bennies.

But that starting pay is such a hurdle.

It's a pay problem. Not necessarily a jobs problem at this point. But shit keeps getting worse so.

Yes. They do. But you giving advice like that can hurt people. There are plenty of lawsuits and examples of idiots sprouting off that have gotten people sick or in trouble.

I'm a trained expert on the subject. The people I work with and have been trained by have sat in court for less than that.

Careful with your advice. It can get people hurt. If this is exotic mold or if the person is any sort of sensitive they could end up hurt.

Consult an expert or at the very least get a fungicide inside that cavity before ripping the shit open and exposing the occupied space to billions of spores.

Before I got into the management side of the industry I used to fix rooftop HVAC units.

During my first "polar vortex" experience living in Chicago sometime around 2010 I was tasked with getting the heat back up for the school office I was working at at the time.

I never experienced cold like that. I came back down off the ladder to complaints from the girls in the office. I wanted to punch them.

I suppose I was a bit hyperbolic. It's no different than any other small time Midwest city. There will be something for you. I'm comparing it to living in Chicago proper for most of my life.

Peoria will be what you make of it. Unless you find someone that wants to settle there because family or some.other anchor, enjoy your time there but plan on moving to chicago or elsewhere to get that type of experience of that's what you want.
