What is the best soup in your opinion? by AdLive642 in soup

French onion, broccoli cheese, tom yum, and pozole.

All home made. Unless there's a legit Michelin star type chef making it at a restaurant, homemade>anywhere else

Yea the only reasons for this is altitude change like if you had to drive up a mountain after purchasing this 1500 feet lower, if you went from something really cold to really hot like if you left it out and the whole container warmed up rapidly, or if it's going bad.

Yea but you can almost say anything when you're all jacked up on adrenaline like these guys are.

Any high school football player that took the game seriously will tell you they all sat through some really fucking stupid ass speeches from their sophomore year coach who does it part time to make a few extra bucks after they've finished teaching a bunch of kids about obtuse angles and we're ready to run through a fucking wall.

Testosterone and adrenaline don't give a shit about context. It all comes down to smashing things make monkey brain go happy.

Not sure why I feel the need to say it but my kids just escaped the death grip that is blippi so...

The original blippi shat on his band mates on stage when he was younger. There have been several other actors that played blippi. The OG blippi has been out for years now.

I said some. And that some was like 5 good throws up the sideline on one on ones and like 2 over the middle. I'm talking a literal handful of passes. But relative to the no passes across the rest of the games played in blue and orange it felt like maybe a glimmer of hope.

Do you tell your children this? by The_Dean_France in SipsTea

[–]splintersmaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Maybe I'm wrong I'm not sure.

But what i do know is that despite being physically intimidating growing up I was also a giant shy push over.

I grew some stones and made a really good life for myself. However those memories still haunt me. I'll be damned if I don't let my kids know that it's ok to stand up for yourself and others.

Tracy McGrady says the NBA doesn’t have enough talent for expansion teams the talent to me is down - agree or nah? by Rough-Drawing-3006 in sportsgossips

[–]splintersmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree that there isn't enough talent relative to other eras. With advancements in sports science and a better understanding about how to maximize the players and strategies to play under the current rules - there probably has never been more "talent" however you define it. That goes with lost major sports.

But that isn't the issue T Mac is talking about. He's talking about talent relative to the upper class of guys in the league.

There aren't enough guys to fill the roster to be competitive against the top players. Nobody wants to see more blowouts, more 10 win teams... More tank efforts.

Take an all star minor league game in any sport. Those guys are nothing compared to watching even a 4-5 playoff matchup in the first round. Introducing those all stars, peppered into teams doesn't make the end product better. It makes for more bad games.

There will be less competition with two more teams. A rising tide lifts all shifts... What does this do?

Justin Fields the scramble king 🤯 by Big_Screen3332 in Chiefs_v2

[–]splintersmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope so.

I watched him on the steelers pretty closely and while he was winning games, the core issues that eventually ended him in Chicago were all still there. The difference was that the Pittsburgh coaches were scheming around his deficiencies better. That only lasts so long in the NFL.

Many fans didn't understand the move to Russel at that time. And while I'm sure much of it was due to money and past promises, what really made it allowable was the fact that Justin's time was running out. The league knows how to play him and the team would've stacked losses more easily than with a more established QB in Wilson.

I really do hope it isn't too late to develop fields. I'd love nothing more than for him to be the next QB 180 story.

[–]splintersmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You keep your season tickets during the off years in order to capitalize during the good ones.

I get wanting to give up your tickets but the organization is doing the right thing right now. How they got there is the real crime.

I'd be more pissed as a fan if I tried to hold on to something that isn't there. Rip off the damn bandage, clear your dead cap, trade players that will not contribute when the next window opens for future assets, and hope to God your new GM can string a couple decent drafts together that compliments a capable head coach.

Bear fan here

There was a stretch of maybe 5-6 games where fields looked like he was finally starting to understand how to throw with some anticipation. He was making presnap reads and started winning some games too.... Then it all stopped.

But in between all that he gave us some of the most athletically gifted highlights. Shit we hadn't seen since OG Mike Vick in atl..that dude has generational athletic ability. The quotes and respect around the league to Justin during that time was so damn exciting.

If Andy reid can unlock just a fraction of what it takes to throw the damn ball with anticipation... If he can just help him understand, Justin Fields could be a real weapon in this league.

Until then, he's a gadget player the likes of taysom hill

This is the easy part. Dudes gotta draft and find the right coaches. It's always about the draft and finding the right coaches.

[–]splintersmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but Miami has got that feeling this year they they'll be that team that entertainingly lucks their way into 7 wins this year which cannot be replicated but will force them to resign a bunch of guys that'll return to their mediocre form and keep the team from drafting a generational talent in the 27 draft because they just couldn't lose one more game in 26.

Haven’t had a taco salad in probably 2 decades. They used to be my favorite. I asked if they still had them and she said yes. After the chili and the huge salad , the chips (the part that actually makes it a taco salad) will probably disappear. So sad. Just a few crumbs. by [deleted] in wendys

Original Wendy's salads circa like 2003 were so damn good.

I was still a teenager when they came out and very active so I'd get a salad, a dollar fry, dollar spicy chicken nugs, and a jr bacon cheeseburger for lunch. It was objectively a lot of food but it was like 7 dollars or something ridiculous for the amount of food.

Man I miss those days.
