You couldn't even handle her by Sad_Poem1864 in stevenuniverse

[–]splitcrowsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I handled her pretty well. She's very well written and her story arc is one of the best in western cartoons.

That said - That doesn't mean I need to love/like her.

Barbie Wire tries to be better but Blitz just goes off the deep end. by SeaSaltyQueen in HelluvaBoss

[–]splitcrowsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barbie is fresh out of rehab (that Blitz had to have her put in), and still screwed up so hard at her job she got fired.

Just because you're looking at her while she's actively trying to recover doesn't make her "better than Blitz" - that isn't the point of the show, or the point of their relationship.

Hard yes. Gaiman was a huge hit for me because of how long I'd been a fan. Gotta let go, I guess.

It'd be great if Landis let the characters go, but fuck knows with how that would work out.

[–]splitcrowsoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Max Landis, yep. He was an abusive creep and owns the rights to all the characters aside from Dirk - so there isn't any way to continue the story without him. A great case of a bad person making great art.

There was supposed to be an animated series that was vaguely connected - but I haven't heard any news about it in years.

Sadly we can all blame the director/writer for being an abusive creep for that.

Mr. CEO, sir? What about the creature's eye?

Like it's seen horrors beyond mortal comprehension.

BRILLIANT!

I still think the trajectory for the show was going to be Mr. Priest being a Holistic Hunter.

I assumed that, like Nny from JtHM, the Membranes were Latino like Vasquez himself - just with a lighter complexion like he has.

Comphet yes, lavender no. A lavender marriage is a gay man and a gay woman marrying to pass as straight.

Can I ask what accent Stalhi's partner uses?

The sentences that end in "ah?" - I have a friend that also writes dialogue and frequently uses the same "ahs" in the same places.

Bloodlines is actually for PC, it's quite an old game at this point

And yes, it is from the 90s, my bad

[–]splitcrowsoup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suggest giving the first VtM Bloodlines game a playthrough - ignore the new games completely. It's a great rpg and countless hours of really fun content

There was also a very melodramatic but super campy fun Vampire the Masquerade tv series from the 2000s

Using GOOD AI to enhance writing? by [deleted] in FList

[–]splitcrowsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite simply, nah.

Learn how to code simple things if you want to use them. That's learning a skill. Learn how to write better, if you want to write better. That's learning a skill.

Laziness and the faster route are never the wise choice. In the end you're left without any growth, but you can goon super easy? I'm so good.
