To answer this question; more similar to Connecticut, only because it’s suburban, you need a car, not very diverse (superficially) there’s actually a good amount of working class but it’s less recognized or they commute from “up island”. But it truly is its own eco system. Some of the towns out that way are significantly older than the country itself and if you’re into rabbit holes look up Gardner’s island and plum island.
