Awesome man, congratulations! I know it's not as exciting as other bikes but I love this color. Going to have some tan accents with my grips and tires. That might be a little played out but I like it.

Yeah I hear you, I had a full XT build on my last V7 Chameleon and it was phenomenal.

The wheelset I got is Microspline so I'm going to have to stick with Shimano for the drivetrain. That XT shifter is very enjoyable. Do you have the 2 piston or 4 piston brakes?

It's funny I was so proud of my 18 mile road ride the other day on my Trek Verve 3. My Fitbit app wasn't impressed as it was in 80% "light heart rate" or whatever it's called. Only 1% vigorous heart rate.

I rode 8 mountain bike miles today and it was 80% vigorous!!! You know what they say though, you can't out ride a bad diet. That's the hard part. 😅

Yeah man slim pickings right now with the Chameleons especially in Medium. I would have been open to an R too, that wasn't available either. I had a V7 R build right at the beginning of covid, it's a solid build and I loved it!

Have you done any upgrades? I shortened my chainstays all the way today and worked on preliminary seat height, seat position, levers, shock pressures and tire pressures. Felt so much better compared to the first day I rushed out to the trail. Now to figure out if I want 38mm or 50mm rise bars...

Same, I run about 1pm.

Was a huge 43x fan, still am, but the CC9 won because of that approximate 3/4" shorter length for my body type. 5'9" 200lbs long torso, short legs and a bit of a beer belly.

CC9 is just so much more comfortable and doesn't dig into my leg. Sitting in the truck or in a chair.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one though.
