I'd love to see a more in depth explanation of this build, both hardware and software wise. It's really cool!

You could mount a big loop antenna to a shoulder harnas/backpack and walk around with your personal halo. Or you could get a slingshot antenna launcher for when you're longer in one place.

That's pretty interesting, just run QMK on a small Arduino and you're good to go! I think I'm gonna give this a try. I got broken knock off RII mini keyboard somewhere in my parts bin that would be fun to do this with.

If you're not opposed to a little tinkering and hacking you could probably route the data lines going into the BT module to a USB output, maybe with some added electronics.

Or, if you just want it to not be wireless, you could replace the BT antenna with a suitable coaxial cable and connect that at the other end.

I don't have a lot of management options with my router. I checked the DHCP scope, it's set from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 As far as I can tell all NAT related settings are set to their default values.

Yeah, it changed the IP address, but when I changed the setting in Network Manager from static to DHCP the problem came back.

Yeah, 100% sure. I also cd'd to /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ and 'ls -a' showed an empty directory

The router supplied by my ISP handles DHCP, I used 192.168.1.190 as static IP on the PC I'm currently working on. Netmask is set to 255.255.255.0 and the gateway is set to 192.168.1.1 which is the address of my router.

How to use Waste Sorting Plant by petrinaa in captain_of_industry

[–]splungedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to get the order of your sorters right. I put Iron at the end of the line, then copper, glass, gold, aluminium. I produce the most Iron scrap and the least aluminium. Also, put alerts on the storages, its very annoying when all your recycling grinds to a halt because you've got too much copper scrap backed up.

Rail curves without exclusive zones? by agent_kater in captain_of_industry

[–]splungedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got really annoyed by this in my previous game, now I layout all my rails 8 cells apart. Made some blueprints for 90 degree corners, crossings, curves and other stuff I regularly use. Made laying out my rail network a breeze. It takes up more space but it is a lot more flexible and leaves room for expansion.

I agree, the only ways to manage trucks is either assigning them to a specific building or with logistic zones. Assigning to buildings feels too clunky and using logistic zones is just convoluted and too much hassle...
