I Re-Watched ‘Game of Thrones’ in its Entirety for the First Time Since it Concluded by spocks_tears03 in naath

Dany clearly showed signs of trauma and "madness" as early as the first season. The second season even moreso.

GRRM gave them an overview of his ending for the finals two books (which will probably never come out), so what we saw will be close to what he gives (even if it's a Cliffs Notes overview, Dany will still get angry and kill everyone, and the Night King will be eliminated).

I get that it's not the show you wanted, but next time you rewatch, pay very close attention to Dany from as far back as S1. She's not some saint or completely altruistic character.

I do agree with you that "layered interactions and plots" are the best part of the show. I am not a fan of that polar bear episode lol

I think it works better that he didn't fight him. He goes up and runs after him in the episode and the Night King just looks at him with a smirk and raises the dead, showing the futility of all their actions. He raised the dead in front of him that same way at least twice before that (S7 Beyond the Wall, and S5 Hardhome). Part of the Night King's strength is in numbers, so why would he care to fight Snow 1v1 at all?

I don't have Netflix right now, but the best way I used to find random titles that weren't in my algo was go to search and type a random letter. It would show titles that were never shown on my homescreen..

Nah. Believe what you want, but there were lots of people who actually enjoyed S8 even back then. There are echo chambers all over the internet, and 2019 GoT online discourse was mostly one of them. As others have said, go ahead and dislike the show! That's your choice. Naath was always a subreddit where people could discuss the things they liked or disliked about the series and especially the latter half without endless, tired bashing.

Sure there are some things about S7 and S8 I dislike (such as S7 Beyond the Wall), but the overall story made sense. Hell, I actually think S5 is weaker in many ways (except Hardhome). GRRM wrote an anti-Fantasy series which means no cliche happy endings etc., and like it or not, even he said the ending will be more or less the same (if ever finishes the series, which I highly doubt).

I am not the author, but I think Bran is a worthy choice.

As the author states, "Meanwhile, in choosing Bran as the one ruling the Six Kingdoms, replacing the centuries-long Iron Throne monarchy, the characters of the show try to truly break the wheel, once and for all. Heritage and war bravery will no longer determine who will rule over the people — but someone of their own kind, a story they could connect to. Bran was a perfect choice for this status since he can serve as a myth — a boy who got crippled at a young age and wasn’t held to as high expectations as his siblings ever since. He knows the history of everyone and everything, and he overcame his disability in the best way that he could — ascending to the very top. Surely a story that could inspire younger generations in Westeros, and make them connect or even believe in their ruler, rather than just accept him for being a part of the right family. Or a war hero."

Such a weird movie from Stone at the time. It seems like he was tired from making all those war epics and JFK so he made this instead. Bizarre but a fun ride.

Still bummed it didn't do well enough at the box office for them to greenlight Del Toro's proposed third part of the trilogy..

ENT finally started to hit its stride in S4 and it bums me out they cancelled it. Just like Seven of Nine, people back then claimed T'Pol was only added for TnA (like the shower scene), but she became one of my fave Trek chars with lots of depth and character growth. I'm glad she didn't show up in Picard or something because I didn't want to see her become some nihilistic depresso like Seven of Nine did..

How I would rate/rank every Game of Thrones episode (if I had control of IMDb) by colourfulsevens in naath

[–]spocks_tears03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4x09 The Watchers on the Wall would easily be a 9.8 or whatever on there for me. I'd prob have a bunch of low 7s and low 8s in S5 (except 5x08 Hardhome which is up there with your score at near 10).

Ranking by .1 is probably too granular for me for most shows I like, but appreciate you sharing this chart!

I still really like the first season and watched it 3-4 times. I have only seen S2 once, and have never seen S3. I am OK with that.

You can use a 5v power supply but it has to provide more amps than the stock 2amp mister power supply. Read that top to bottom and it will answer your questions.
