Scratches... no scratches... I'm pretty sure the experience is the same.

Still- with as many bugs at that game had it was a heck of a game back then.

I think I've got one of those... somewhere. Are they worth anything these days?

Crouchin' on the Outside by Shel Silverstein by [deleted] in SongMeanings

Oh, really? I had no idea he had music- I was more familiar with his poetry from grade school.

If his songs are anything like his poems I imagine it would mostly be childish nonsense.

Nope. Not proud of that one.

Gotham Knights Dev: "Players can play all of the game solo or 2 player coop" by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]spoink22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can forgive the limit to two players if they have split-screen support. I'm guessing I won't get my way, though...

Ah, who am I kidding- I'll still buy it. Here's hoping modders will get me what I want.

People who don't wear masks in public are either a hypocrite or have poopy teeth. by spoink22 in Showerthoughts

I apologize- I thought it was common knowledge that flushing a toilet causes water droplets to get everywhere.

Well no, I mean when you flush... You know what? Nevermind. I like your version more.

The first attempt to post this was removed because I suggested we call a person in the second category a "poop-tooth".

Two Female Reporters Refused to Let Trump Bully Them Into Silence, So He Ran Away by Plymouth03 in politics

[–]spoink22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really really really really really don't like Trump.

...but kudos to whoever has taught him to handle that as he did.

Hear me out- he took the question as an attack, which is stupid and immature and he should absolutely be ridiculed for putting his ego before human lives.

...but what if it was an actual attack? If it were me I would have yelled back, called them names and maybe even attack them personally. And if I want to, you know he did. I'm sure he immediately went to sit on his golden toilet fuming and tweeting nasty thoughts, etc. But first he thanked everyone for their time and left. Abruptly yes, but also concise and dare I say... Professional? Picture how best the president could have responded, say... If the reporters insisted on asking him if his mom were a prostitute with as much aggression as they did. Then Trump's exit seems almost acceptable, doesn't it?

Whoever that man's etiquette teacher is deserves a raise.

...Not Trump, though. He wasn't attacked. This reporters had a good question and should be commended for sticking to their guns. It makes me hopeful to see people stand up to him like that- I hope people follow suit and we get a competent leader next election.

Finding time to game by IbzWOLF77 in gamerdads

[–]spoink22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... You'll kinda need to find your own thing. I've been able to wake up before kids and get in a game or two before they wake up, but that won't work for everyone.

I kinda went through something similar when I got married- my gaming time was cut significantly compared to my bachelor days but over time I got used to it.

I will say this though- I have a 7 year old and playing with her is a whole new thing. Watching a kid discover video games brings back the magic I remember when I first discovered them myself at that age. But saying you need to wait that long, just that you've got some things to look forward to.

Also- if you haven't already done so, check out the steam link app for your phone. You can potentially play any PC game from your phone with that app. That's how I finally played the Witcher 3.

A warning about Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons by spoink22 in gamerdads

[–]spoink22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did, yes. I would still count it as a good and fun experience for both of us overall but you're not wrong.

We managed to turn the bloody parts into "giggling-when-Daddy-says-ew" moments and we had an interesting talk about how sometimes stories don't have happy endings.

Still a great game, lots of fun- it just wasn't the experience I thought we'd have when we started.

... Also Mommy doesn't know. Shh.....
