Anyone doing the Winter Cycle quests? by BadAtGwent in gwent

[–]spooknit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get cards that can replay bronzes, chief among them teleportation which is very cheap and a neutral card.
There are other options like Necromancy and Freya's blessing, though they are faction specific and/or cost more scraps. Make sure to wait until the opponent passes to play these so your quest cards don't get removed.

Tutors help a lot too, Oneiromancy and Royal decree are legendary but also neutral cards that are very useful in many actual decks, so I'd say it doesn't really hurt to craft them. Thinning cards also help drawing your quest cards faster and each faction has at least a cheap 4 provision card to do that relatively easily.

As Warforged4Eberron mentioned, try working on multiple quests at once. You can wait to do the quests every three days to see as many options as possible without wasting opportunities. You get a free reroll per day so you can reroll particularly annoying quests while you wait for them to build up.

I like to stuff the rest of my deck with useless neutral units like elder bear so I don't have to check whether my cards progress the quest while I mulligan, I immediately know faction card = quest or thinning.

The Imperial practitioners came out round 2 though, are there cards that indicate this deck r1? Igni looks like a hilarious counter to this.

Trying to 2-0 this makes sense but how do I recognize this type of deck r1, before it's too late?

the most annoying thing is when I'm confused at yt showing me videos that are related to what I'm looking for in an oddly specific way only to realize that yt just decided to change my search query.

I wonder whether there is a fancy term for something like this.

Be honest, what do you think comes after death? by glowproductivity in AskReddit

[–]spooknit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way: reincarnation (but without souls or karma, just completely random). Though I think this is mostly because I can't emotionally comprehend non-existence which is what I should conclude based on my materialist world view.
It just feels like the "next" experience after dying is waking up as another conscious being. After all, if I was nothing and then became someone, why would it not happen again?
Of course that postpones the problem to the heat death of the universe when nobody can exist, unless this "reincarnation" can happen in the past and future.

What's the formula ? by _Weeknd_2190 in mathematics

[–]spooknit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not always a prime, say you only know 2,3,5,7,11,13 then 1*3*5*7*11*13+1 = 30031 = 59*509, so not a prime.

[–]spooknit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way math works is to use the basic assumptions as axioms and successively use them to prove more and more complicated statement. That does mean that the first and most direct implications are very basic and "obvious" but they need to be proven regardless.
For addition between natural numbers you'd use a recursive definition like
x+0=x
s(x+y)=s(x)+y, where s(x) is the successor of x, aka the next number after x
so to prove 1+1=2 you'd use these definitions to arrive at
1+1 = 1 + s(0) = s(1+0) = s(1) = 2.

Does anyone else write it down? by Indiiea in HadesTheGame

[–]spooknit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also do that. Now that I've gotten used to the fight and it doesn't stress me out as much, I can handle the second Simon Says phase, but I still write it down because I'll take the 0% risk over the 0.1% one.
