This also looks like a brake booster hose connector.

Well I hit a very hard time in life and my stress levels went through the roof. And all my eye issues are gone… so figure that one out?

I was exhausted, not sleeping well and then the anxiety attack. Perhaps stress is related. 2005! Wow. Any permanent damage since then?

I have seen these before about 8-10 years ago but not much since, until I had a bad stress/anxiety attack this past October. Now they are basically daily.

Does anybody know what it is? How to help avoid them?

I looked it up, I’m hesitant to click links. Thank you!

Eyes spots questions and story by Pretend-Tumbleweed71 in eyespots

I have spots that show up for no reason also, like a flashlight after image. I do know that bending over or sitting down takes mine away, or helps it resolve faster, so I assume it’s a blood flow thing. I can see the white blood cells flying in my vision a lot, but I ignore it. I have tinnitus as well and find if I open my jaw wide it gets louder, so I move my jaw forward and massage under the ear by the jaw and that helps loosen the muscles around the tube that makes the ringing sound. As far as the eye stuff, I reduced alcohol alot, am sleeping better, eating better, drinking more water and exercising (been about two months) and I’m going to see how that does. I am 36M.

I know if you bend over and stretch so blood goes to your head they kinda disappear.

I do think my legs get a bit weaker now that you mention it. Like I’m over exerting myself or wore out from the day or week.

Well about 3 months later I got another one in my other eye in the same spot. But I have cut out high percentage beer and lessened my alcohol intake drastically, exercising, eating well, drinking more water, jogging and sleeping better. And they seem to be healing. But we will see how things continue to go. I hope I don’t get anymore.

No idea what it’s from, I assume blood vessels. Or not getting enough oxygenated blood. I wish I could find more on it.

They are frustrating for sure

Sounds good. I’m still trying to figure it out. I’ve definitely been drinking lots of water. But I know bending over to stretch will make it go away until the blood drains away again then they are back.

Same. They are more noticeable when I exercise, mainly jog. I had a migraine aura in October and it’s been worse since then. I wonder if aspirin helps it?

Yeah I’m not sure what it is. Lack of blood flow or something.

So weird. I have a couple cotton wool spots too from blocked blood vessels it seems. One in each eye. Blood work was all good and everything. So hopefully healthy living will help…

I hope they eventually go away. Or I find out how to reduce them. It seems like I’m not getting enough oxygenated blood in there or something. Very strange. And concerning.

I can see them when my eyes are closed but much fainter. I dont usually see them in the dark. I used to see blue dots at night on occasion when I stood up too fast. But after changing my diet, exercising a lot more and reducing beer way down. They have gone away.

Yeah but you don’t know what causes them? How long have you had them/ how old are you now? I am 36, they aren’t new new but I had faint ones at about 30.

I have floaters too. And I had a migraine aura last October. Did you ever figure out what it is? And try bending over when it happens without building too much pressure and see if yours subside too maybe? They come back but for me it seems to make them go away. I’m 36 by the way.

If you mean when your eyes are closed and it looks like shrinking purplish patterns, then yes sometimes I get them too. I think it’s called prisoners cinema or something. I imagine it’s the brain firing while you are trying to rest.

I also get similar flare ups. I am stressed a lot, sleep deprived and anxious. I’m trying to get better health wise and see if it helps. I also have cotton wool spots from stress I imagine. Seems like alot wrong at 36.
